Hello everyone! I have spare copies of the first and second Sailor Jerry Tattoo Flash books. Both are in very good - excellent condition, just a bit of bending at the corners. Volume 1 - $200 shipped Volume 2 - $165 shipped PM with any questions. Make me an offer. The worst I can say is no.

Not sure if this the right place to do this or not, but I wil do it anyhow. I was wondering if any of you had been tattooed by Higgs. That was one of my big regrets, I would love to have some of his work. I have a couple of friends who have, but there are not a lot of pictures on the internet of his work and I would love to see more of it. One of the shops I go to has a couple sheets of his flash and I think it is pretty awesome. Kenny

As I recently acquired a bit more money and a ton of more wall space I am looking at buying any flash (sets or single sheets), original art or prints (prints or original pieces do not have to be tattoo related). As I know there are quite a few artists on this site, as well as friends of artists I thought I would mention it here. PM me if you got something!

We do this thing on the Jalopy Journal(an online forum for hot rodders) featuring an occasional friday art show where Pinstripers and the like share their artwork. Some really cool stuff would be shown, and I think that would be a fun event for this forum. So how about a picture of your favorite painting(s)? I'll start with this one, it's a liquid acrylic and coffee stained painting featuring Hans "King Whiskers" Langseth...Guinness World Record holder for longest beard.

I was killing some time in the city yesterday so ended up at Blackheart as I normally do when I have free time in SF and was flipping through books in their "reference library" and two books that kept me in awe were a Phil Sims Flash Book and a Cliff Raven Flash Book. I saw all sorts of great tattoos I would love to have.....anyone on this forum have any Phil Sims and/or Cliff Raven tattoos and/or ones from their flash? If you have some from their flash who tattooed it? Pictures of course would be enjoyed!

There is this one fucker whos "name" I cant remember, so I thought I will start a thread for these kinda mental block questions. What the fuck is the little boxer dude called, with the black eye and stuff? And Im not talking about the suger cult creatures, or what the hell were they called!, with toaster for their heads and shit. But the classic old boxer dude.

...are they even available anymore? Really would like anything, but especially the late 70's early 90's era stuff. I know he sold many sets of these flash. They are the ultimate catalog of traditional style tattoo designs ever, in my opinion.

what's everyone's opinion on this? i know there are some artists out there that feel that if one artist bases their design off of another artist's work, that is stealing. however, almost every artists incorporates the use of designs that have been used for many, many years. what's the difference to you (if there is one)? since i'm not an artist, only a client, i'm just curious to hear what everyone thinks.

Curious if anyone else in here collects old acetate stencils? I would really like to have a peek at other peoples collections. For some reason I almost enjoy collecting stencils more than flash. I just like holding an old acetate in my hand and imagining how many people got tattoos from it. Here are some of my collection. I have a bunch more I need to take pictures of. Bob Shaw Owen Jensen

I was wondering what are the thoughts of non-tattooers owning flash/tattoo art. I have been itching to buy some flash/tattoo art to add to my art collection. This does bring up the question....are there any opinions of non-tattooers owning flash/tattoo art? Coming from a family of artists I know sometimes art will not be sold to "the unworthy" or something along the lines of such. I was even thinking along the lines of having some kind of "custom" flash sets made. No real guidelines just a basic idea for what would be in the flash set (i.e. panther, skull/dagger, etc) Any ideas?

So as you may or may not have seen there were some request to start a new area for tattoo designs (thanks for the feedback!) so the LST Team decided to add a new tab obviously titled "Tattoo Designs" as you are here. But no one seems to be writing anything so I figured I would make an intro to our new tab and try to throw some gasoline and an M-80 on the fire to get it burning! Please do not let the title of the tab limit your writing, pictures, ideas, creative muses, etc to tattoo designs but let it be any art. What, who is your muse for a piece and how do you decide what genre/format to do it in? We see hundreds/thousands of dragons, tigers, skulls, roses, nautical, script, girls faces, daggers, yada yada art yet it continues to be done. There is nothing wrong with any of the above as I always enjoy seeing each artist or tattooers flavor added to it. For all you "foodies" out there think of the various spices or flavors chefs try over and over to make their own unique meal. Their own unique burger, grilled cheese, salad, you get the picture! Oh yeah if you have art or flash or tattoo machines or what have yous post some info with a link under the "Vendor Marketplace" as that are is pretty silent as well and we hope will generate some new business for you!! On with the bag of M-80s, lets do this......... I think the best roses are done by Tim Hendricks and would love to hear how he came to how they are now???
