So the itch to get tattooed is getting unbearable waiting for my next session and want to pick up something kinda small in the NJ-NYC area. Any good suggestions? I already know Smith Street is awesome but any other suggestions? (also any local artists chime in if you want). I also remember Thicker than Water being mentioned

So I have my appointment coming up soon at Invisible and am getting a traditional(ish) skull. I am still trying to decide what else to add to it. My artist said rose, I said no. I was thinking snake, with possible the skull missing the bottom jaw. Its going to be around 5x5 and my upper thigh. Any ideas? Edit: Wrong section. Mods if you want you can move it.

Today I found an offer I couldn't refuse for a round trip to New York. The flight is booked, so hopefully I can get appointments with some tattooers as well. I will be visiting from May 27th through June 7th. Anyone up for an LST eastcoast gathering around that time?

So it looks like I have finially decided what to finish my right calf off with. Geometric pattern style stuff. I have been lurking through some Thomas Hooper stuff and similar (propbably going with Hooper). It seems I've already made a fair share of enemies here with my stance on tattooers with little to no tattoos and my post-whoring to reach the point I could ask this question, and I would like to apologize to any that I offended and ask that you not hold it against me now. My question is, I am new to New York City, and am seeking assistance finding a shop (or specific artist) that does (or you think could do) Chinese style art. Specifically, I am looking for someone who can pull off an original design in this style for a half sleeve; Thank you.

I never really listened to Lil Wayne but after doing the Three Questions with Sammy Winston and his musical suggestion of the 500 Days of Weezy suggestion I have discovered his genius. I listen to rap and hip hop on and off for many years but only a few of the rappers actually get me stoked. Which is why I don't listen to too much punk these days but more hardcore because less and less punk bands give me that feeling I used to get. But this is a forum thread on Lil Wayne so I'll try to keep my rambling on other genres to a minimum. So he was released from serving an eight month stint at Rikker's and his re-emergence into the general public is this big deal. His lines are one-liners that turn to verse after verse of comedy and deep thoughts. Yes I just said deep thoughts and some musicians have it and some don't. I would put him up there as one of the classics next to Cat Stevens. HAHA, yeah I just put Lil Wayne and Cat Stevens as a comparison what? Shit he just may end up sampling some Cat Stevens for the next new Lil Wayne album? He is in the studio in Miami right now!!!????!!!!

Hey all, I'm not a tattooer, just into 'em and sometimes I get to write about them and do interviews with folks, which has almost become as addictive as getting tattooed. I've done a bunch of stuff for Inked (which has actually been pretty great, regardless of your opinion of the mag), did a recent piece for a certain UK magazine that will go unnamed that I'll no longer work with and I help out with some online stuff here and there. I try to update my terrible, terrible, terrible blog with stuff I'm doing.

Hello everyone. My name is Jessica and I'm from the increasingly popular (due to reality tv) state of NJ. I heard about this forum through Tammy and thought it sounded like a cool place to check out. My number of tattoos is modest due to my indecisive and non-committal nature, but I'd like to add a few more before I call it quits. Although I don't strive to be heavily tattooed myself, I absolutely love seeing work others have had done and hearing the stories behind them. Looking forward to participating on this forum!
