Found this article today, its a few months old but interesting nonetheless. "What do you think when you see a woman with a tattoo? This is not a question with a right or wrong answer; this is a question of perception. So I guess, the real question is, “How do you perceive a woman with a tattoo in society? Does it affect how you judge her?” Of course it does. As much as a woman’s blond hair or pretty face leads her to be judged. But a tattoo isn’t the result of DNA, it’s a choice, an assertion. But how did tattoos become taboo for women, and most importantly where can we go from here?..." Guest Post: Feminism & Tattoos: A Woman For all the ladies out there, do you feel like you are percieved differently due to your tattoos? Heavily tattooed women, if you didnt notice a difference with your first few pieces, have you noticed something different the more covered you become? I want to hear from the gents as well! What do you think? Do you noticed more women getting slag about their work than men?

I've always wanted a dragon tattoo, but the only pieces I've ever seen were on men and well ...manly. I think dragon tattoo designs could be amazing using the contours of a woman's body. With that said, do any of you know/seen/tattooed dragons on women? I would just "google" it, but every one here seems the best at pulling images from every corner of the internet. Also curious if any women on here have some dragons or what your opinions are on dragons on women following the publicity of the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo? I seriously considered giving up my dream of having a dragon after the American movie got so much attention. (Noomi Rapace's tattoo was better in the Swedish version......)

They can get anything a guy can get and it won't look silly. But then they can also get... Hummingbirds. Dammit, I like hummingbirds. I always have a feeder for them every spring and summer. Can't get 'em Butterflies. I have a butterfly garden, too. I also really love to go to the city's butterfly garden on the bike trail. But a big fat greasy Dago with a butterfly tattoo? Bonus points: My favorite butterfly is the Swallowtail. UGGH! Unicorns: I can't really explain this one. I just think they kick ass. I'd like to get an octopus tattoo. I used to have these recurring dreams that humanity had exterminated itself and over the course of nigh countless millenia an Octopoid species became intelligent and dominant on the new Earth and I was their philosopher-king. I think it means they are my "spirit animal" or something. But I don't want my family to be making fun of my "pussy" tattoo and making James Bond Octopussy references against me. Ah fuck it. I'll get an eagle or something. I guess.

I did this walk-in last night, he wanted a pinup with "some herbage" incorporated into it. I put skin tone in the pinup coming off the black, but it didn't show up in the picture too well. I'm still trying to get my pinup shading on-point, I feel like it's always lacking, but I guess less is more sometimes??

Good afternoon everyone. I received this email on a research project which is being headed and conducted by a staff I used to supervise for her thesis. If you or you know anyone who fits this please have them contact Caitlin. If you feel so inclined to print and place in your tattoo shop that would be cool too. Last I heard she was in the New York area though don't know if region plays a part in her research as technology could allow various locations both nationally and internationally to partake but that is her call. It is obvious a practitioners visible tattoos play a role in the therapeutic process and alliance but throw in the variables of female, location, and the possibilities are intriguing. I know of no research on these subjects matters being conducted so the results could be useful as tattoos become more common in various careers. For those interested here is the link to the thread on our tattoo forum for "Visual Tattoos". Thanks for helping out. [/img] [/img]
