  1. sounds like a plan! plus good artists will help you with placement and composition type of concerns - when i was at smith recently getting a piece from steve boltz i saw eli working with a customer and he was real thoughtful and patient in collaborating with the client about the pieces he was putting on her - they want their work to look good too - those guys are pretty cool over there have fun!
  2. welcome couple things lets see your first tatt second lets talk about your next tattoo idea right here third - free time? - go to the interview section - tha'll keep you busy...and entertained
  3. dude - lion on your chest - you're good tattoo regret is normal when its your first plus you look at thing with magnifying glass dont you? now that you got the first outta the way lets talk about your next tattoo :) and the one after that...:)
  4. very nice - he is also on my short list - definetly makes some cool tattoos
  5. @ThatGuy just was looking @ your IG picture of this tattoo - yeah man so cool - dig it Chad is definetly on my short list good luck with healing that next forearm piece man
  6. both my forearm tattoos were long healers they are both inside forearm pieces that wrap a little to the outside it seems like the outside edges were where i scabbed the worst i think its because at 44 years old those areas have experienced some abuse the skin texture / wear are remarkably different from the outside to the inside sometimes its just what happens i heal all my tattoos the same basically not a dry heal but pretty minimalist in terms of care some heal real quick - some not alot in between i think location is a huge factor for me but like has been said dont le the imperfections of said tatt bum you out you are probably the only one who notices plus all tattoos have imperfections who cares - there is so much more to them than that right btw - to the OP - that piece looks dope
  7. new york - how bout bailey robinson
  8. Robert Ryan again 12/6 @ Electric in Asbury NJ can see a break coming though - getting pretty filled up and of course - funds running low after this next one - but also I think I need a break... ...or do I;)
  9. dont cover it - just get something else - its a fun tattoo
  10. thanks man me too the other cool thing is that Robert is a really cool guy - was a pleasure getting tattooed by him - I had been in Electric with Sheila Marcello for a few other ones but finally got around to getting something from Rob - his work is amazing - so many pieces I would love to have on me I'll be going back in December I think but still have to set it up with him
  11. awesome stuff from Robert Ryan @ Electric in Asbury good times good times
  12. pics would help in my experience scabbing happens sometimes no matter who is tattooing or what you use could be something as simple as location of the tattoo on the body it doesnt always rob you of ink either perhaps it came off way too prematurely but for sure there are many factors - lets see a pic of this nightmare
  13. i haven't seen that take on the iconic panther tattoo and i dig it big time chad is def on my short list - missed him at electric in the summer and he is coming to smith this month but i dont think the funds will be there for that but one day anyway - awesome tattoo
  14. really like that piece - tough tattoo in tough spot to get tattooed - you earned that one
  15. i dig it too - but...best on the board is a bold statement ;)
  16. i think give another 3 weeks and you'll have a better idea - i see what you mean in your description but i would def encourage you to resist overthinkin this piece - its dope - love it...and keep going with some more ink - every tattoo has imperfections but i think once you get your head straight on this one you'll be stoked to have it on you
  17. meh ok here is a pic :) from the amazing Steve Boltz totally good time talking mostly golf turns out Steve is an avid golfer and pretty good I'm neither but I love stogies and beer with friends and lets face it - thats more important than a decent backswing ;) anyway - funky fish on my bicep...

  20. reading "The Martian" right now - I'm no lit snob so if it grabs me it grabs me - cool read - movie is out now so I hope to finish it prior to seeing the flick
  21. good times at smith st. yesterday with steve boltz - loved the shop and had a great time - steve is a good convo and eli was there as well and also seemed very nice as well - would love to see those guys do a LST interview - no pics yet - i take crappy ones and steve doesnt post often so i'll wait until it heals and see if i snag a decent one i got a funky fish on the inside bicep - not too painful a spot imo - plus steve was pretty quick
  22. pretty psyched.... Steve Boltz @ Smith St. tomorrow 10/4 and Robert Ryan @ Electric 10/18
