@nikkz ok so i might be in the minority but i love your tattoo
i get it that you could focus on its many issues
but i think its totally interesting - though a bit hard to read
i mean - i'm not sure what I'm looking at but whatever
i dig it
so my advice is leave it
love it
get another tattoo
maybe one a bit stronger in composition and execution though :)
i love the mash up of styles on a body
nothing against those who go for the full back piece or bodysuits
but for me - i just love the mix of styles and content
after you get enough tattoos on ya - it really doesnt matter what you get imo
that said - it helps if you're getting tattooed by solid tattooers
got some good tattoo options for you coming east (philly jersey, NYC, maryland, dc) - not so sure anybody really local to you - though some others might have some ideas
pain is a great tattoo topic i think - i enjoy discussions about such things - but its hard to find people in my daily that would be able to have discussions like that - anyway - ribs were just all out the toughest for me - 6 and 3 hour sits - oof - to me that first ten minutes of linework sting are the toughest though - then i mellow out for another hour or so - but ultimately - after 2-3 hours i'm good - most of my recent pieces tend to be in that time zone - which is cool - though recent some good size pieces were even quicker as i have been getting tattoed by some pretty quick tattooers lately
so thigh tattoos heal like shit
but its a great spot to be tattooed imo
front row seat to the action
not too painful imo
and lots of size / placement options
i have 3 thigh pieces
lava lamp (which my wife calls my teenage girl tattoo :)
fish in an espresso pot
and a smoking frog
have fun
