Really excited about this thread, and thanks to all who have chimed in. I've got one of those hot and dirty jobs (and have finally concluded that I just heal poorly), definitely going to ask about this next time I'm at the shop. And, maybe no more poorly healed travel tattoos for me *crosses fingers*

New-ish to Texas, finally got over to Rock of Ages. Got talking to Dreyfus about Steve Byrne's availability, before long my girlfriend interjected that we needed to discuss how we were going to pay for an upcoming trip. I agreed, we left, and then I went right home and called the shop the next day anyways. Snagged a Friday afternoon in October :cool: Haven't decided what I'm going to get. Instead, I'm going to see if he has any ideas about filling one of the last (kind of awkward) spots on my arm. Way excited.

Hey y'all. Longtime visitor here, not sure why it took me so long to sign up. Can honestly say that every time I've needed advice, resources or, just another reason to appreciate tattoo culture, I've found it at Last Sparrow. Thanks for having me. Anyways, I'm a 30 year old furniture maker in Dallas, Texas. Got my first tattoo in Iowa in 2002 . Twelve years later, I've been tattooed almost 40 times by 13 different tattooers in seven states. I'd like to thank my dear friend and tattooist Dawn Grace for instilling in me a great respect for the craft. Oh, and for refusing to tattoo a lot of my dumb ideas on me.
