@Gingerninja that is awesome! Great way to top off a busy year for you, and give good vibes while you beat the beast next year! Sent from my Le Pan TC802A using Tapatalk

Well, @Gingerninja, what's the word? Good, I hope! I have a friend that had a tumor wrapped around her auditory nerves and partially on the optic nerve on that side. She had lost all hearing in that ear already. She had surgery @ Vanderbilt, had to go in through her face and eye socket. Low prognosis for survival, success at removing all of the tumor, eyesight on that side, facial appearance, personality, etc. When they got in the tumor had turned to a jelly that they were able to suction out. This was a couple decades ago. I just saw her last year (on my way to a tattoo convention!) and she has about 20% hearing loss in that ear, no scars or appearance change, good sight in both eyes, and a personality just as warped as when I first met her in Sunday School in 1979. I know this is not the most popular statement for this forum, but she had many faithful praying for her. I'll keep you in my prayers.

A line (what landlubbers would call a rope) that was supposed to look realistic that he made look like a 3 year-old's cartoon. On the top of my right forearm. His "correction" just made it worse. I'm finally happy with it, after four laser treatments and two correction sessions with a great artist that cared about the satisfaction of the customer. Sent from my Le Pan TC802A using Tapatalk

I've not had any back work, but my left shoulder is pretty solid color, and I'm a side sleeper. Rolled onto that side often even though I tried not. Even woke up 1st morning on that side. In my 60's and although cuts seem to heal slower, the tattoos seem to heal fast for me. I do think overall health and the care by the artist mean most. BTW, I wore a long-sleeved cotton tee for the first four or five nights. First night there was a little seeping and the shirt stuck. DON'T PULL IT OFF! Just stepped in the shower and soaked it off. Gave no problems at all. Sent from my Le Pan TC802A using Tapatalk

Email the change request, and maybe call their shop to make sure it was read (don't expect to talk to more than a receptionist if they are busy). It's normal to not see the design until you show up - but burn this into you brain - DON'T LET THEM PROCEED UNTIL YOU ARE SATISFIED! I made the mistake of accepting a wonky design that the artist said he'd correct when he inked it. He didn't and it took years and $$$$ la$er work to get it to where another artist could make it right.

Traveling to get a large tattoo a logistic nightmare?
pidjones replied to Matthew Williams's topic in Tattoo Advice
@purplelace - I once was VERY prone to car sick, sea sick, air sick, etc. I found three preventatives. One may work for you: Dramamine - Modine and Bonnine are just sugar pills to me. Although it might make you drowsy, Dramamine just works for me, and is OTC here. Martinis - not too many, but a double can really do wonders. Made our honeymoon cruise enjoyable for my wife. Saltines - old sailor's cure, and it works! Our captain even brought a pack back into the engine room once when we had a long, rough surface transit (nuc submarine). We told him we were not allowed to eat in the engineering spaces, then broke out our boxes of saltines when he went forward. -

Thanks for the work but.... I think it killed Tapatalk. -
Tapatalk began asking for a login, so I did but it doesn't log me in. I tried changing my password on the web site, but the forum won't accept the login on Tapatalk still.

Sorry for your loss, Dan. Hope you and his family shared tons of great memories with him to see you through the rough times.

In this thread, we commiserate about healing our fresh tattoos.

Carrying it on the other side will not only reduce tattoo aggravation, it will reduce repeated stress on your spine. Once I switched to the left hand for carrying my briefcase or backpack, my back pains greatly reduced. Sent from my Le Pan TC802A using Tapatalk -

Thanks,@Gingerninja! Start of a great retirement. Worked around the house yesterday, after church today I packed a prepped the bike to leave early in the am for Woodstock, GA and have my forks serviced on the bike. After that a nice ride to Bryson City, NC to spend the night before riding through GSMNP on the way home. Sent from my Le Pan TC802A using Tapatalk

If you're willing to travel that far, I'd check forum member Mike Panic's Go! Tattoo Removal in Allentown, PA. Their Pintrest page shows lots of results, and pricing seems very fair with latest lasers. Wish I had been closer when I had mine done. Sent from my Le Pan TC802A using Tapatalk

A little celebration for my last day at work. My beautiful wife and daughter surprised me by meeting me at Vivid Tattoo with a cake. Sarah did her usual fast work to make this happy Kewpie doll for me. On to the next adventure! Sent from my Le Pan TC802A using Tapatalk

Yesterday they had a goodbye luncheon for a couple of us that are being laid off. This is awesome, because we were both planning to retire! Saved 2 jobs, got severance pay and Cobra, and in 6 months we can go back to consult if they need us. Gave us both remembrances that say "Beam Off". Our company builds particle accelerators and medical equipment. Sent from my Le Pan TC802A using Tapatalk

Don't get "tattoo fever" and approve a stencil you don't like because the artist says he'll fix it when he tattoos you. I did. It cost me a grand to get it lasered to the point it could be corrected (by another artist). Sent from my Le Pan TC802A using Tapatalk

I just want to warn you that the two hours it should take will FEEL like six on the inside of your bicep. Sent from my Le Pan TC802A using Tapatalk

Do tattoos ever act as a barrier to medical care?
pidjones replied to Zillah's topic in General Tattoo Discussion
I had an MRI of my left heal once, before I had any tattoos. The ortho had a small unit that I stuck my foot in, and it was over quickly. Of course, all metal was removed first. I didn't have any piercings then, either. So, maybe your ortho has one of the little ones, but any way no harm will come due to having a tattoo. If this were not a myth, your red blood cells would be negatively effected since they contain iron. Sent from my Le Pan TC802A using Tapatalk -

Couple results. Not bad for just 10 minutes with each artist. Sometimes the change from original gets pretty far off. Sent from my Le Pan TC802A using Tapatalk -

This is not tattoos. It is paint/charcoal on canvas. I'd never try it just because I have a big zero for artistic ability. But it was great to watch! Sent from my Le Pan TC802A using Tapatalk
