I just commented on others threads, photos, etc. Like 'em, don't, suggest etc.

Very nice. May I suggest a USB web cam so that you can admire your own art at leisure?

You are the artist version of a scratcher - a sketcher.

It worked fine for me in Firefox in Win7. I suspect it is the Flash plugin that is giving your problems. BTW, interesting read! -
Job/Work realted tattoos.
pidjones replied to IanBurkhart's topic in Tattoo Designs, Books and Flash
I guess military would classify as work-related. I have my dolphins and SSBN patrol pin from the 70's on my chest. Don't want a particle accelerator, which is what I've herded since getting out of the Navy (although the atomic orbits are part of the patrol pin symbol). -
I saw a tattoo being removed in a Navy hospital once "the old fashioned way" by dermabrasion with a rock salt paste. The poor guy had blood pouring down his arm (the tattoo had been on his shoulder). A corpsman was making a paste of rock salt and some fluid (saline, probably), applying it with a gauze pad and then scrubbing off layers of skin with it. They said it would take 3 to 10 sessions to fully remove it. Of course it left scarring. An old chief was standing over them threatening the sailor if he let out a whimper. One of the reasons I waited until I was almost 62 to get my first tattoo!

Wore out a Michelin Alpin Run-Flat on the back of my GoldWing yesterday tearing up Eastern Kentucky coal country roads. New one mounted today, ready to go on. Tonight Knoxville Tattoo Convention!

Glad they stopped when they did.

The lines should have started at or ended at the heart bursts, I think. And, for a real explosion they would all have emanated from a single point at different velocities to form the initial heart. It isn't all that big or bright, and from a distance (unless your legs are regularly up high in the air or people are regularly on the floor looking at your ankles) looks Ok.

I don't know why, but I've read through this entire thread. For me, hellbunny's quote above is the most valuable thing in it.

So, this week I turn Social Security eligible, plan to take a nice ride Thursday to celebrate (weather is supposed to be great!), also plan to visit the Knoxville Tattoo Convention Friday (I know it will be small-time compared to many, but it will be my first, and I love to people-watch). Saturday the plans are to ride with my hottie to Nobody's Bar and Grill in Murfreesboro (about 150 miles) for BBQ with a bunch of GoldWingers from all around Tennessee. The first three weekdays we have classes, but it is a fun one to teach. Kind of shaping up to be an awesome week!

Some artists have been hard at work lately! Those are great!

Lots of beautiful color and solid fill areas on yours. I can't imagine how much that stung!
-
Well, I didn't,want much bigger than regulation. Bolder, yes. Have to admit the touch-up stung more than the original. Still a half hour before I take the bandage off, but it looked good in the mirror at the shop. Better than the first day, in fact. Lines are a bit heavier. I'll photograph it once I've washed it and let it dry - before I put her after care on. - - - Updated - - - The result: (this stung much more than when it was first tattooed)

Be careful of writing a bad review. We once ate at a restaurant that treated us like outcasts. I wrote of the poor service, incorrect order, and awful behavior of the waitress. Tripadvisor allowed the restaurant to write a rebuttal, and they slammed me and my wife. Remember, the vast majority of replies WILL BE POSITIVE, because the businesses pay ad dollars, not the public.

Going in today for a touch-up. Some of the finest lines have faded as well as the drop-shadow under the patrol pin.

Bearded men + tattooed women = PASSION KILLERS!
pidjones replied to TrixieFaux's topic in WTF in the News
Biggest turn-off for me is hoof shoes. Ladies, you are the height you are. Heals make your legs look nice. Platforms don't add anything but altitude. Now, if this had been in Huff Post, it would have made NBC Evening News! -
Depends on what they are helping with. My mom helped us build our house. We help our two daughters occasionally - just gave the youngest (31) $150 for an exterminator to take care of a yellow jacket infestation at her house. We help the oldest (44) with medical bills. I still have the youngest on our family cell plan. She has made enough to own a home and car outright, but we still help sometimes. 'Cause we love them. I'd want to know about tattoos to make sure they get good ones safely. I'd also not expect to "loan" them money immediately before or after they paid for ink.

LST Now supports the TapaTalk Mobile App
pidjones replied to Steve's topic in LST Announcements & Contests
I use TapaTalk on my tablet. Very happy to see that you have added it here! (BTW, "Like" works for me, although it gives an error) -
The ones that I use are microfiber nylon-spandex. They are opaque. Other than the price (and perhaps fashionable logo), they are the same. Use what you wish. I offered information that others might choose to use or not. It's not designed for motorcycle cooling, either - but it works great for that.

Some call them "organ donors", I say there won't be anything left to harvest at those speeds (and very little gear).

Although my first tattoo was rather small, I definitely DO NOT want the process to become a ritual! On my way from a bit of errands/shopping to get a good meal before the appointment, I was rear-ended (thankfully in my car!) by an uninsured driver. THAT took away my extra hour for a leisurely lunch and I had to gulp down a burger at Sonic. Still, the session went very well (artist was super) and healing uneventful. Took an energy drink in with me, but barely took a sip. After, I followed her instructions to remove the bandage after an hour and a half, wash with antibacterial soap using only the palm of my hand, let it air dry after blotting with a paper towel and apply a very light amount of her supplied after-care. Had the afternoon off, so after calling my insurance company I cleaned my motorcycle. Leave out the crap from the bimbo plowing into me at a red light, and it might have been Ok. BTW, I made sure my appointment was the first of the day. I want my artist fresh, and plan to keep that policy for future art.

For those wishing to be frugal (or, like me you're just plain cheap), Walmart Starter brand and Target Champion C9 have long sleeve microfiber shirts that are basically the same as a rash guard. I've bought C9 from sale racks for $10. I wear them on the motorcycle under mesh armor for cooling in summer, and under solid armor in winter for insulation.
