I'm much better, now. Two days last week sucked pretty bad, but it went away completely. When I was a kid, we made our own outfits, kind of competed with them. All our parents would do was find old shirts and stuff for us. Nowadays I pretty much ignore it. Kids grown and we live too far out of town for kids to make it to our door. Never got into the horror movies that are so popular now, with the exception of old b&w classics. An old fuddy-duddy I guess. Now, Groundhog Day - that peps me right up! I've only had two, but suffered no ill effects. Still have the tonsils? That could be your problem. Little poison bags. Had mine out at age 5 while they were trying to kill me.

Wherein, SeeSea, is my dilemma. A nice figure 8 fake of even a 3/4" line would take up half of my back, and I really want it on my forearm (maybe, if I worked out, there would be more canvas. Bazinga!). It can be scaled of course, but it must retain detail (I don't just want landaus connected together). That's why I plan to buy some, fake it on black velvet and photograph. Should be an excellent reference for the artist. Braided nylon like we use now fakes down beautifully, but doesn't look right for a tattoo, INHO. I'll try to find well-used hemp or sisel twisted. Hell yeah! I'd love that! 20 mile (one way) commute - half of it over mayhem highway, fourteen years with the company and all of 30 days PTO. Now they are threatening to ship me to China, India, Brazil, Russia or wherever the hell they want, and believe me you don't make out traveling for this company. One of my co-workers once said (before he quit): we work for a company that lets us work from home one day a week. Sunday. Three more years.

Take a picture of a rating badge, medal, campaign insignia, whatever from your military service and give it to the artist - then see what they come up with.

I emailed pictures that depicted the population density of the planet for my artist to reference. She did a stencil of the outline, then after inking it she used a printout of one of the pictures to fill in the population representation. I'm very pleased with the outcome. For my first tattoo of my dolphins and patrol pin, I mounted them on black velvet and took a nice closeup for the artist to draw a stencil from. For my next, I want a figure 8 faked hemp line. I will probably buy some and take a photo of it to guide whoever does the art. I'd like it close to realistic.

Actually, I find the forum quite responsive on my tablet in Tapatalk. May be some things not there, but the basic ability to read and post work very well. Thru the ether from my LP2

Yeah, I'd ask if I can have a tattoo artist do it before letting a radiation oncologist come at me with a tattoo machine! Same goes for sticking with IVs. Have a nurse, NOT a doctor do it, and never a nurse that you know! Someone you know will be extra-careful and never hit the vein. BTW, I've worked on some of those flesh-searing (actually not relativistic) particle cannons. Fantastic therapy for the indicated lesions.

Just from a non-tattoo artist standpoint, they use tattoos to permanently mark reference marks (although small) for radiation therapy, which is often done right after chemo, so...

I feel kind of a kink to say that I have a pierced nipple (my only hole). I had that done before I really considered a tattoo. Then the second tattoo. Ahah! Piercings lead to tattoo addiction! All this after age 61. Some would say mid-life crisis, and if that is the case - Yeah! that means I'll live to ~120! BTW, absolutely no healing problems.

They work on Tapatalk on at least one forum that I frequent. It's a pretty new, small board at this time though. Thru the ether from my LP2

Don't even see the option for it in the pop-up, now. Thru the ether from my LP2

Same direction, but about 3" further up is where mine is. None of it was bad at all. On my right shoulder for the 2nd tattoo, the artist warned when she started into the armpit area, but it was Ok. There was an area between two muscles toward the outside of my shoulder that felt like she was digging for bone, yet the overall pain level wasn't bad since she only spent a short time there.

Do you mean like over the pectoral (avoiding the nipple)? If so, that was my first and it was a breeze! (And I am highly allergic to pain!) Thru the ether from my LP2

I actually liked the final elimination in this weeks threesome episode. Having each do the same exact design that they have handed to them really compared skills and knowledge, leaving artistic tastes aside. Still had to fast forward through the emo crap, though. Thru the ether from my LP2

What a great time today with my hottie riding through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park to Cherokee, NC for lunch, then up the Blue Ridge Parkway for the fall colors. It was great up to ~5000 ft, but we ran into heavy fog/clouds and I bailed on NC151. What a great road that is! I've got to come back when it is dry and leaf-free to straighten it out some! Planning the next one, possibly switching artists?

I have seen lace as a background that held bigger pieces together nicely. Don't know how it would last for that, either. Thru the ether from my LP2 -

Just get a dotwork piece. Binary tattooing.

I believe it is much more local than that. For instance, Asheville, NC is like a little San Francisco with its arts community, and Oak Ridge, TN. I often say that there should be a sign: "Entering Oak Ridge, Leaving Dixie". I am sure there are locales everywhere that don't fit the general culture of the area.
