  1. 1. For LST to get Tapatalk interface working. (I know you're working on it and appreciate all that, just reeeeally hate using Forum Runner.) 2. Finish my left arm 2/3rd sleeve. All that remains is the vines/background to tie it all together. To like my job more. I'm about a year and a half from retirement, and I really want to leave wishing I could stay. Instead, right now I can't wait until it's over. I keep telling myself that I spent 2.5 years under water, and I can make this!
  2. A forum more dedicated to body piercing might be a better place to ask, such as painfulpleasures or tribalectic. Also for registered piercers check http://www.safepiercing.org/ And definitely find someone you are comfortable with!
  3. Hmmm. Total ~$535 US. I'd love to get a deal like that over here. Only 4 sessions? I only have a couple 2x5 cm areas to clean. Maybe I need to look for the Q-switched operators near me.
  4. Thanks for giving me hope, Peter! May I ask, how many sessions and what type laser were used?
  5. Last night I received an email from Sarah. I'm in for the 2nd of January for more work on my left arm. It will truest be a Happy New Year!
  6. Extremely important and necessary' date=' of the utmost importance.[/i'] How would you define it? Tattoos are not a fashion accessory to be changed with your outfit, or a "statement" (although they may certainly make a statement).
  7. Yes, a sharp white and DEEP blue and red flag background (no pastels) and include some Marine Corps icons. Badass! You served it, you deserve to wear it!
  8. Please. Nothing to do with your parents or any of that. Don't get a tattoo unless it is essential.

I still carry a flip. I have a Rugby Pro Android phone for work, but have voice and text forwarded to my personal flip. I only get company email on the smartphone. I do Instagram on it occasionally, too. I usually carry it in my backpack or riding jacket. I do most "surfing" on an Android tablet.
  10. PLEASE - if you don't like it (and check it carefully!) demand correction or walk away! I have a forearm piece that I still hate almost a year after I got it. Why? I didn't look critically and expected the mistakes that I did see to be corrected when he applied the stencil. He ended up blowing out lines and darkening heavily to try to hide it. I would have been out less than you (his deposit was less), but I'd much rather have lost the money than have to figure out how to get this acceptable. But, the odds are that you will love the design and the art will be something you wear proudly!
  11. Tip as often as you pay (not including deposits).
  12. Honestly, if you are sure it will be the tattoo you want, forget the money, it's spent now anyway. But, if you are not sure this is the artist and piece that you want permanently on you - my advice is to call, cancel, see if there is any refund this far out, and chalk thee rest up to experience. $300 is definitely not worth getting something that you don't like. Oh, and don't get "tattoo fever" when you see the design, approve it without a careful eye, and have it put on you thinking the actual tattoo will be corrected. Believe me.
  13. And here I thought it was when you get a bunch of people with tattoos together to show them off and have a great party.
  14. @LizBee, congrats on getting some awesome art, the experience in getting it, and the award!
  15. Week ago Friday my third cameo on the left arm. Burned like a soldering iron in my "waddles" below what should be my bicep. Only 2.5 hours and seemed like just fifteen minutes. That arm is still slated for some small bangers and vines to tie it into a half/three quarter sleeve. Overall the most painful so far, but mercifully quick!
  16. I'd suggest you keep looking until you and an artist "fit". I had one artist hold off on showing a sketch until the day of. I had "tattoo fever" and went with it. Big mistake. It doesn't have to be the final design, but at least a good general idea of placement and look. Ask how much and what kind of shading, and color schemes. There are lots of phoenix tattoos out there, and you can search for one that really is a good general idea of your desires.
  17. A co-worker has one by my artist Sarah Hurst. Nose art pinups are hawt!
  18. To all of my brothers and sisters that are serving, or have served. To all of those left to keep the home on their own. Most of all to those who lost someone who gave it all - Thank You for our Freedoms!

    Hi

Yes, lots of tattoo stuff here. Welcome.
  20. I ask a different line of questions; Do you own one (or have you, or someone VERY close to you), and - Do you know how to tell time on one? If the answer to either is No, there is your answer. Just like using a Latin quote when you don't know the language.
