  1. Tapatalk doesn't show a lot of photos. In particular, it doesn't show those linked from the Gallery (at least, it doesn't show mine - not even on my tablet). Probably shows Ok in a browser on the phone, though. Edit: Yep, just tried it in the browser on my phone and tablet (both Android). Tapatalk sucks, but it is what we have. You can try Forum Runner.
  2. How about someone just start a thread for it each month? Someone would need to tally the likes and compare, plus declare a winner (winning bragging rights for the month).
  3. Let me suggest that if you feel that you really must wash on the plane, ask for bottled water (or in a pinch, club soda) as the tanks on them are not the best for low microbial content. I'll also suggest to protect the 'derm with a sleeve like used to keep sun off of golfers or even a fake tattoo sleeve.
  4. Still flaky, but the blister is fully healed and I can't even find where it was. Booked for 2nd session August 15th.
  5. Sorry there were not any replies, but just wanted to say that you nailed it with the tiger!
  6. Not only did the tattoo on my forearm not seem to reduce the hair, by the looks of it one laser tattoo removal session isn't affecting it, either. Although, my arms are not that hairy.
  7. The only color that I've seen used on dark skin has been black. Don't know why. I suggest asking artists that do a lot of black skin. Good luck, and don't forget to post updates and photos of the tattoo when you get it!
  8. #1 - I like the tattoo, #2 - I have a tattoo on my arm in brown and black. It took several months for the brown to change from red, #3 - if you think healing a tattoo takes time, try healing laser removal! Not painful or itchy, but Oh! the flaking! Layer after layer. At least some color comes off with it (which is desired here, as opposed to a tattoo). Over two weeks now, and I still have more flakes forming (and one blister still oozing a little).
  9. The one that I have on a pectoral happens to lie in a "bald" spot.
  10. I personally love the mixture of bright autumn leaves from an early-turning tree amid the dark green of mature late-summer leaves.
  11. Was 61 when I got my first, and at 63 (soon to click another digit) have 4 with one being a composite covering all of my left shoulder from back to elbow. I have no plans for more, but getting my right forearm piece lasered until it can be redone the way I want it. Then no more. If I had desire for more and the extra funds, I'd be at it about once a month but seriously, this is all I want. I do enjoy the experience, even the healing as it is amazing to see how the body works this way.
  12. 12 days in, and after motorcycle vacation. Very flaky, but no pain or itch.
  13. Black scabs from blisters and other areas - hopeful ink comes off with them!
  14. I have several friends that have been resectioned, put back together, and going on to normal lives.

1st treatment, morning of day 3.
  16. I'll try to keep the same lighting on all.
  17. 1st morning after 1st treatment. Same lighting as reference photo.
  18. 35 years celebrated yesterday! Judy has no ink, and was a little surprised when, at 62, I started. She now actually likes a few of them (although I doubt she would ever get one or become a tattoo "fan"), and is growing to like all but the one that I am getting lasered to be corrected. For the same reason that I hate it - too dark and too poorly done. I will then have it redone properly and we will both love it!
  19. Using Spectrum laser. Numbing cream topical for one hour before the pass, waited about ten minutes (it took him ten minutes for the first pass) and then did a second pass. Don't have a picture after second pass yet as it was immediately bandaged and I had to get on to work. Dr. Frazier dermatologist Knoxville, TN.
  20. The blowout on my forearm wasn't too bad, but then the artist tried to "fix" it by putting a very black background around it to hide the blowout, which made it way too dark and really blew the whole tattoo. That's why I get lasered tomorrow morning.
  21. My artist distributes her own blend tattoo healing balm in a chapstick-like tube. It makes a good lip balm for severe chapping, too.
  22. The obvious, a butterfly and a bee.
  23. Just get Henna if you just want temporary decorations.
  24. Not fully inside mine, and it felt like she was using a soldering iron. I call it the "tender white meat". Felt fine once she was finished and I've never had pain in healing.
