I had mentioned that during the healing process it looked like my palms were blowing out- this "halo" was around the outline for a few days. It started around the outline and spread to my fingers.... then just went away.

For me it was achingly painful for two weeks. Cracking, redness. Hooper walked me through the process of healing with his method- "first it's going to look like it's blowing out. Then it's going to look like it's infected. Then it's going to look like it's fading. Then it's healed". It happened spot on per his synopsis.

Yeah, I've seen it= the original pre-festival cut of it no less. (Hopefully it's not on Netflix!) It's unrelenting. Someone the other day called it this generation's SALO, but I think it's much more extreme than that. I'm not sure I buy all of Spasojevic's "this is a political piece about the horrors of living in modern Serbia" bullshit. It's exploitation, pure and simple. And probably the most brutal film of it's kind that I've ever seen. And not just because of the few now infamous WTF scenes- the whole film has a tone that you just can't shake.

The review on IMDB contains this caveat: "Avoid this film as if it was made from anthrax clothed in a 3-piece suit of the plague, on fire, carrying a machine gun that shot bullets made from herpes" Looks like it was shot in '09 but is just getting a dvd release. Hah.
