    The theater I go to has a little device that you can check out from the box office that's like a remote. It's buttons alert the ushers of projection problems, talking, etc. Someone won't shut up, you click a button, usher comes in and tells them to be quiet. Me? I have the manager's number in my speed dial. Honest to god. I take my movie watching experience seriously.

    I hate myself for going to see Transformers3. I loved Bad Teacher. Tree of Life was unclassifiable but amazing. I don't know what I'm seeing tonight- I fear the new Tom Hanks movie. His plastic surgery upsets me.

    The armpit wasn't as terrible as I had built it up to be, but the upper inner thigh was a bastard. The pit is mostly healed (it's a week old tomorrow) but the inner thigh is gnarly.

    I'm setting up scheduled posts for OV for the airing schedule, so it'll automatically add an update a few days before each show airs to remind folks what's coming next. Easier to do it all tomorrow than to forget to update when a new episode is about to air.

    Most people in the maintream hadn't heard of Sailor Jerry or Ed Hardy either- the point is that someone realizes that 'old school' tattoo culture=big bucks. How they got the rights to Cliff's imagery and name is something I'd like to find out more about...

    I have hundreds of hours of video of Cliff tattooing naked. Think they'll license that? When the jock douchebags who'll likely be the first wave to wear the Raven line (Cause Ed Hardy and Jerry are SO last year) start showing up at the mall, I'll post it on the Huffington post... "Wait.. he was a tattooer AND a homo? Man, I'll go back to Abecrombie and Fitch!". Douches.

    I think this is one of those things that will be taken out of the hands of the tattoo artists soon enough. With tattooers on tv saying things like 'I didn't go to med school but I make money like a doctor' (not a direct quote) you're going to get the the wrong noses pushed into your business... pigment safety will probably be one of the first things that becomes an easy win for a crusading senator/etc.

    I did find it interesting that that kid got shot down so inappropriately harshly while Ursula's embroidery was so well received. Both were non-tattooers offering tattoo imagery for sale. That other kid ended up typing out his life story to appease people, which is a shame. I would have went with a 'hey, fuck off, sport'. And Gouge- no one will think you're an outsider because folks seem to like you. It's all about who you know... didn't you know that? :D

    I don't think you should be apologizing for going to art school. Fancy or not. Nor should you have to explain yourself or your family situation. Playing the 'who's more oldschool' or 'who's more deserving' game is pointless.

    I also just got an email from Thomas Hooper sneaking me in for finger tattoos- the day after my birthday. Jesus. Sumerian priest sounds awesome... cant wait to see it!

    I'm getting tattooed by Robert Ryan on Monday and Deno on Tuesday. Both are in hellish (inner thigh and armpit) spots that I expect to leave me crying like a wee baby. This whole painting myself into a corner thing was dumb. I should have started with the shit spots and ended up 36 years old and making appointments for my forearms.
