  1. Yes, but you didn't lead by dismissing one of the artists who has influenced countless others and another artist that is changing the way many people look at Japanese work. Considering I never met you I mean it when I say I'm genuinely glad you found interests within my favorite area of tattoo. Screw me, I always fall for the troll statements... That guy got me I guess and you even warned about it lol
  2. Is it fair to say that you aren't allowed to be unimpressed with giants in the industry if you are new to it?
  3. I'm with Graeme... I don't think I can sort out emotions to respond to the horiyoshi comment. There is a short video on YouTube of the man free handing with a liner these badass finger waves on a dudes leg/ body suit like an absolute master. He has lost nothing... Will not rant I promise, walking away
  4. I started my back neck to waist and immediately regretted no hitting to the thighs, I will Just put it out there that a small piece no matter how incorporated into future work it may be will have that "I should have" feeling... Think it through

    Hey :)

Welcome- Sorry to hear about your father. I'm so glad you don't want text. What do you and your father really enjoy together or share. Get that
  6. I'm just excited to see another 8 hours in your back. I was so antsy in the chair last time I couldn't stand it. I might be hitting a mental wall, but gonna power through anyway
  7. If I may weigh in here: I don't really grasp the ramifications placed upon me by getting tattooed. I'm not sure I necessarily care. I don't want to change my life and experiences for a job that will forget me a week after I retire. It's tough for me to keep thinking that tattoos represent my individuality when looking at my interests it all becomes a "uniform" after a while. Like going to a cannibal corpse show and everyone is tattooed, smoking, drinking whiskey, wearing black, etc etc. they aren't exactly being unique even in cultural recesses. I was exposed to heavy tattoos at a very young age and loved them before I knew what taboo meant. I feel like I am at that stage in my life where I'm just doing things I really like trying to determine if I can still be an individual. Oddly enough I also feel that many people get tattoos today to fit in not to be outsiders.
  8. Cool concept Getting tattoos while traveling allows you to get some very unique experiences from that city/ area. And it allows you to get work from artists normally out of range What do you have so far?
  9. 8 twice... I would maybe do one more 8 to finish shit up..... Maybe I remember the shop dude being like you know you are allowed to do shorter sessions. Even now saying I would do it again it's like what am I saying
  10. I get nervous when anyone young gets heavily tattooed fast. Personalities change drastically as you mature
  11. Write a book. You got a lingo and attitude that would make a fun read. I know you have stories lol

    Book thread

Reading Coyote blue The maze runner (sue me the commercials peaked my interest) Gonna give abbadons gate a try if you see some Philip k Dick elements in the story I'm game.
  13. An assault rifle and a handgun? I like the rose and bud idea a lot that's really smart and not so on the nose
  14. .02$ The outline looks fine as does the compass. I understand sweating the "good tattoo" A simple clean well done tattoo will stand the test of time. Listen to your artist and be pleased with the healed product. Besides who doesn't like a good traditional ship and such
  15. That is too awesome, might have also got that turkey I'm not gonna lie. PS: that really is one of the nicest bday gifts I've seen in years. Love the red dragon I hope she gets a matching one when she's 18
  16. Yea, some one was like your slowly getting a big black butt I thought that was too funny.
  17. Background complete. Did arm pit, lower back, butt, and touch ups on random spots. I prefer working one area after this session lol. Next session is stripes then color starts. It's so far from done but I couldn't be happier with the way it's coming out.
  18. People around here aren't big fans of motivational poster text tattoos as you can read. I think for the long haul you will love a big ass panther instead.
