  1. what is it? It looks like play and fast forward?
  2. Add more spiders and a hard line work web background. I have zero good ideas I would consult a talented tattoo artist to give you real solutions
  3. Taco Bell always takes the things I like off the menu... Boo to them
  4. @MoistTowelette That black chrysanthemum is amazing... I might steal that and give you royalties
  5. @BrianH ... damn, I was so wishing for new work on here. Ill be patient i promise wow @ironchef just wow I go back in the chair nov 22... that's like forever away
  6. I think "it's a tattoo" is a PERFECTLY acceptable answer. This is not my style of tattoo, but it looks like you can expand on the design and add to it with more flourishes and elements. This might make you feel more satisfied with the total work I give it 5 more posts before someone recommends a panther skull dagger blast over lol
  7. It just struck me... It is 8:39 pm. I belive a certain member @BrianH is getting some work today??? hmmmm??? hmmmm? being nosy as hell, but excited for you man. (If i got the date wrong then I suck at life)
  8. They fade so fast and hard. A buddy had finger work like you want and it's faded beyond belief after a year. Get something on the arm or chest. Nothing says guns like a big dragon sleeve
  9. Her name is zelda, robin named her after the princess in some of my favorite games and she gets a hummingbird... I can't lie I am disappointed
  10. If I told you not to buy a certain car because it is a lemon even when I'm not driving a Bugatti is still help and sound advice when heeded
  11. No I don't actually and that's probably a good thing.
  12. A tattoo artist that knows his or her way around flourishes and lettering will embarrass fonts any day
  13. I was thinking of a vicious owl with a rat in its talons. Go mean and simple it will be great
  14. i like the forearm that came out nice
  15. @rads The best way to start this process is with honesty. That way you're not canceling appointments left and right and wasting time on both ends. Have a rough idea of an image/theme/ style, and talk about the work you currently have. In reality that's all I did. I walked into the shop with my crazy idea and put down a deposit. Then showed up for the consult and first outline. i made sure to meet all appointments to show I was serious about the process and next thing you know you're over 20 hours in. I've been told many people walk in with ideas for big pieces but never go past that first talking stage. Make sure to go beyond that first step You can do it, and when it sucks this thread supports us all
  16. Awesome photos, making me want to go to a convention one of these days. That one looks great Thank you so much for sharing
  17. A nice cider always reminds me of snowboarding in Vermont, granted I think those were just spiked. Pear cider is nice until the stomach ache for me
  18. Gotta request any possible update. A while back someone posted a killer andre malcolm back of a bound women and flowers , any progress heard of on it?? @Hospitelli it's coming out strong, gonna be so nice when done
  19. No small jobs only small... Well Nevermind.
  20. discussing all $$ related issues with tattooing (maybe with the exception of tipping) is super taboo. No one will really answer this for you, and I think it's against forum rules. if you're trolling I fell for it
  21. yuck for the oilers... red wings now that's a different story! Tramp Stamp has been replaced in my area by "skank flank" the super meaningful 20 lines of text blasted down the ribs. go to the beach and oh my is it everywhere. honestly just roll you eyes at either term, if you got some lower back tattoo (or any tattoo) that you loved then love it.
  22. You know what irks me infinitely more than the hands/forearms/neck woah bro I'm totally covered tattoos. Those damn ear gauges make me insane. They look so awful, almost beats face tattoos in my book @Dennis one of the things I truly love about Horiyoshi is that he can do sort of a large scale black and grey piece with these perfectly placed pops of color. He does it so well, it is why I look at him like a master of the art.
  23. @Shaggy I have the same idea. I don't think I pick bad color choices, but I am far from being a pro so let the man do what he does best ya know.
  24. I like to answer directly in general, when I start responding to the vague "you" (or you's for us NYers) I feel like we go around in circles. I know your answer wasn't directed to me specifically, just kinda answered anyway cause I'm an ass. my back piece is silly, but its not little lol, Likewise with yours FYI I really enjoy your subject matter a ton. I live vicariously in between my sessions when you guys post progress EDIT: even in terms of personal change, subject matter I would have no way considered years ago I am now really into. So things I overlooked I am now giving a second once over for a new understanding.
