This is great! I think I'm going to have to mosey on down there in a couple Sundays and get Franz to fill some space.

Yes and no. We're in the same department, but don't necessarily work together every day. It still makes it impossible to just have a clean break. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Had this lady blasted on my shin today. Just one more sizeable piece on the back of my calf and then my calf is ready for fillers! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes! I've got until mid April 2015 (262 days) for appt #1, and lately I've been going through the "oh fucks." I've already laid my ideas down, so every time I check his Instagram for pieces he's done with similar elements, it relaxes and reassures me I've made the right decision. In the midst of breaking up with a friend. Far worse than ending a relationship, and working together makes things even more complicated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

For the first time ever I missed an appointment today, and I feel like such a dick. For whatever reason, since making my appointment I had it in my head it was on Wednesday, and I didn't think to recheck my calendar. They're being super awesome and rebooking me for next week and I didn't lose my deposit. Sent an email directly to the artist apologizing, but still feeling shitty :(. Plainskins say the darndest things...

An old man once asked me, back when I had only one on my leg, if it was an Irish transfer. I had no idea what he was talking about. I'm in Canada, no one calls press on tattoos "transfers" and what the hell is an Irish one? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I work in a factory and have to wear my hair up in a hairnet, so my half lasered neck tattoo is always visible. We have a busy season, so every year we get a bunch of new temps, and every year at least once I hear "oh I love that blue rose on your neck." First off, it wasn't a blue rose to begin with, it was waves, and second off, it's just a blue blob now. I also sometimes hear weird stuff from people with tattoos. Shit tattoos, mind you. I get the "does it hurt" question for certain areas, and I had unwarranted advice from a coworker not to wait 14 months to start my back piece cause I "might change my mind." This coming from a guy who price shopped his sleeve... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
No. There's no point. I think most here respect your right to like what you like. We don't need to convince you to like what we like. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Gravy was the worst idea ever, and cheese on fries... Nope. The smell of it alone makes me want to hug a toilet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Poutine is horrid fresh, let alone days old <insert barf face>. I don't think I'll be going, gotta start saving for my back piece :( Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
The clinic was definitely more 'businessy' in their dealing with me. They also insisted I use a numbing cream, which made my appointment about 30 minutes longer. They also didn't quite understand when I said I was done after 6 sessions, and tried to sell me another deal even after I said I was going to cover the area they had lightened. The technician at the tattoo shop was much more personable, only offered a numbing cream, and didn't insist when I declined. I will definitely seek out another tattoo shop for the last piece I need lightened. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I don't mind, since it is (or was) information readily available online - I bought groupons through two companies; one was a laser clinic and the other was in a tattoo shop. The laser clinic offered 3 sessions at $50/each, for up to 3x3", mine was roughly that size. The tattoo shop offer was the same price, but they allowed me to buy 5 sessions, for up to the same size, and mine was probably 2x2". The tattoo shop also honoured their groupon price for the rest of my sessions, of which I had 10 altogether. The laser clinic gave me a deal of buy two sessions at regular price, and get the third at half off.

I second Graeme's suggestion, including the kangaroo fighting a beaver fighting a bowl of spaghetti... As a Canadian I really hate the Canadian flag/maple leaf as a tattoo. It's just super cheese and usually worn by dude-bros...I don't care how well it's done, I'll always hate it on skin.

@misterJ Yeah I'm getting that, and that is probably why I dig it so much. And probably also why I've been able to read The Silmarillion by Tolkien quite a few times. I love the sense of 'history' in fantasy books. @HaydenRose & @Breakme I read the Clan of the Cave Bear series a few years ago and loved it! I had borrowed my mums copies and figured I should collect my own. Did you know there was a movie starring Darryl Hannah based on the first book? It was so awful it was kinda awesome. @LadyGabe I definitely will stick with them! I read ahead a lot on the a song of ice and fire wiki, and work with a lot of fans of the show, so when they speculate on what might happen, I really have to bite my tongue 'cause I already know. It'll become even worse after I've read the books!

I'm currently on the first Game of Thrones book, not very far into it though. I used to love reading, but between work and the gym I have no time/no energy during the week. When I was in Toronto in May I saw the chapters downtown was having a closing sale, everything was 50% off, so I grabbed whatever looked interesting as anything well known was already gone. I picked up: Kindred by Octavia Butler The Well of Tears by Roberta Trahan Masks by E.C. Blake Clan of the Cave Bear by Jean M Auel Hoping to get through GoT and one other this weekend (yeah long weekend!), the others by the end of the summer, and then I want to finish off the rest of the GoT series before the next season starts. When I saw the tiger backpiece he did on Vero... that was it. I was sold. I think I'll save the back of a thigh or my stomach for him. Someday...somehow...
