  1. Derick Montez at Everlasting in SF is doing some pretty cool stuff.
  2. Have to agree with @Orangutango . I've always owned dogs, but these are amazing. Congrats to everyone who has gotten one or a few so far.
  3. I've had mixed experiences with lower leg tattoos. Depending on the tattooer, I think they can swell up a lot or not at all. Not sure what Horitomo's tattoos heal like. Good luck! Post pics!
  4. Healing my knee ditch right now, and it is hell. I have to be on my feet all day at work, so I have been limping around and generally pained.
  5. Will definitely be in attendance. Thanks for posting, @irezumi . Looking forward to finally meeting you and seeing some amazing work.
  6. Same thing happened to me today. Was wandering around SF and found Iggy Vans's new shop. Talked with him for a while then got tacos on his recommendation to some Yucatan taqueria. Might go back to get tattooed.
  7. As you can see in the picture, there's a slight discoloring on the green and black leaf, but none on the silhouetted black one. That's really all that I noticed. I also have a surgical scar on my knee from when I broke my leg. Been thinking about covering it, so thanks for posting this thread, @BrianH .
  8. Tattoo over cutting scars from when I was a teenager and in love with a cutter. The tattoo was done by Ron Henry Wells. He said that as long as the scars were over a year old, then it was fine to tattoo over them. The tattoo only covers a small area of scars, but it healed really well. The scars are flat.
  9. Does this mean that history books need to be re-written to say that the war didn't really end until this guy surrendered? I mean, he killed 30 people.
  10. Guy le Tattooer and Liam Sparkes are in the states this month and early next. From Guy's Tumblr:
  11. I'm Filipino, Irish, French, and English. My most recent tattoo was a Santa Muerte, which is a highly debated image in many places. The Catholic church has banned its worship because it says that death is an event and not a person, while worshippers have created a cult out of their faith in her. She is worshipped by drug addicts, prostitutes, LGBTQ communities, taxi drivers, etc. I'm not Catholic by any means, but I do like the image, and got it because it's super metal and death is interesting. Cultural appropriation? Maybe. I don't think so, anyway.
  12. Not bad @suburbanxcore . Mom tattoos are great.
  13. Shameless hometown hip hop plug. Jedi Knights Circle
  14. I would like to quote this post I made, and say that my little sister finally seems to be coming around to good tattoos. So stoked to see her get some work.
  15. I would just like to add that I clicked on the link in the first post, and I saw a Miskatonic University T-shirt. Cool ass shit.
  16. Careful not to over-moisturize, although it is probably far enough along in the healing that it doesn't matter. Also, don't freak out. It'll probably stop being red. Tattoos bring out the nit-picky side of newer collectors, but you'll be fine, as @gougetheeyes mentioned.
  17. @El Dolmago That is a great tattoo. Very jealous.
  18. Fuck. I grew up around a lot of hip hop heads. I still love rock and roll, and maybe I'm too drunk for this post, but WU TANG! Nah, but seriously, fight for what you love. Hip hop, punk, rock 'n roll, dub. Yes, that is a GDP quote. No, none of you would know that. Maybe I shouldn't have had that whole bottle of sherry.
