If you've got access to Photoshop you might try this sort of thing. This is my backpiece I'm getting underway in October. Even with my very modest skills it gives you some sort of idea of hows its going to look and fit with your other work. Totally pain free and no need for the laser if it looks shit.

Outside upper and lower arm for me. Upper part of the chest a couple of inches below the collar bone was pretty easy going as well. Mind you I'm a fat fuck, so I've got a fair bit of padding.

Finished work at 8am this morning after an 10 hour night shift. Had something to eat then watched Tattoo Age again followed by The Gipsy Gengleman New York City and the Marcus Kuhn interview. Now I can't sleep. Just as well it was my last shift for the week. Great way to start the weekend though.

I'm not a tattooer but I can't really see much learning potential from just watching tattooing at a very busy and crowded tattoo convention. I would have thought the best way to go, would have been for your wife to attend at least one of the seminars, if thats possible. If I'm not mistaken Chris Conn is holding a seminar there, this year.

That festival sounds just like heaven. I don't know of any beer festivals in the uk that are that big.

Shit we can't get netflix in the uk. But I can get Sierra Nevada. Had a few of those on Saturday night. Brooklyn Lager from the Brooklyn Brewery is another independant, I think. I bought some Blue Moon the other day only to find out it not a craft beer but made and owned by Coors. Brings back great memories of my first trip to New York sitting in the Oyster Bar at Grand Central Station. Also bought some Anchor Steam beer & some Goose Bay Honkers recently online. If anyone can recommend any good craft beer from the USA I would be glad to do some research. :)
