Is your tattoo infected and aftercare FAQ
jade1955 replied to slayer9019's topic in Tattoo After Care
Wash your fresh foot tattoo in the toilet. It's the perfect hight and the flushed water is guaranteed to be clean. Also if your fresh tattoo is a bit tacky a sunlamp will dry it out real nice. About 4 hours should be enough. -
Yes I think @BunnySwitchblade had hers done a couple of weeks ago.

This today. Tattooed by Jimmie Skuse, Les Skuses' grandson. Amazing shop. So much history there. Had a great time chewing the fat with Jimmie. He showed me a load of flash thats been submitted for a book he's working on. - - - Updated - - - That is truly beautiful.

If you ever end up in a russian prison they have a rather interesting way of removing those for you.

Yep two half sleeves one tattooed by Crispy Lennox. The other by @Stewart Robson. Plus many more. They're fast catching up with her shoe collection.

Im aiming to get a small collection and get a display case made by this small company in Germany Sora Shop They made a custom perspex case for my collection of vintage cameras. Cost less than £100 and was ready in less than a week. Amazing.

Will do many thanks.

It's just gone 1am in the UK. I've taken the plunge and bought this. A Dovo Dovo Red Black Star Straight Razor. I blame you @slayer9019 ;)

Many thanks for the advice. Much appreciated. - - - Updated - - - Loving this thread lots of really great links.

Thats very interesting I tried a shavette for the first time (with a new blade) and guess what? I cut the crap out of myself.
-
Haha yeah. The startup cost is quite a bit but when you look at the price of a top end electric shaver it's comparable. A qualty razor will last longer than its owner. That store Art of Shaving looks very good. I'll do some fantasy internet shopping later.

@slayer9019 I was watching YouTube a couple of months ago and I just happened to watch a video made by this guy Shave Nation Shaving Page. Visit ShaveNation.com - YouTube. He posts some really great reviews of various shaving products and tutorials on shaving technique. I've now gone back to using a DE razor and have spent a shit load of cash on shaving products from Baxter of California & L'Occitane and a nice Edwin Jagger safety razor I only use that stuff at the weekend as a treat as it's expensive. This weekend it's Baxter of California products (how sad is this?). I also bought a straight razor shavette. Cut the shit out myself trying that out. Can you believe I thought that was pretty funny. I will learn though as some of those straight razors are truly beautiful and give the best shave possible. Next on the list though is a decent shaving brush. There is no doubt you get a better shave with a DE razor and like you said it's cheap. The blades work out at less than £3 for 10 and they will last about 8 weeks. I've even started to collect vintage razors from ebay for a display. Watching videos of a man shaving and buying old razors ?????? This is either a healthy new interest or I'm having some sort of mental meltdown

@RoryQ @Graeme I'll have them by next week-end. Looking forward to trying them. I'll let you know how I get on.

Just taken out a mortgage for these. Anyone tried them?

You sure got to eat at some great spots when you were in London. - - - Updated - - - Even the Eds Easy Diner, in Soho (which is shit in my home town) is ok. There's even a Michelin starred restaurant, Arbutus, in Frith Street. FST have got some amazing artists visiting over the next few months.
-
Frith Street-Koya Smith Street- Prime Meats, Court Street, Blooklyn. - - - Updated - - - @Tim Burke Thats useful info about Honest Burger taking your phone number. I turned up there in January. I didn't fancy the idea of waiting outside in the freezing cold for 20 minutes.
-
@asradin amazing collection from Paris. Well done to you.

@scott @Eilin is spot on about the Japanese restaurant. It's called Koya and its across the street from FST. I've only managed to get to eat there once and it was very good. Its quite small and its not unusual to see a queue waiting for a seat. Most of the restaurants in China Town aren't up to much. I've been in Gourmet Burger Kitchen (about three doors away from FST) a couple of times. They serve a good burger. The only thing is that if you have an early appointment theres not much to choose from. The Breakfast Club is also supposed to be good, although I can't vouch for that. You'll also get a very nice bacon & brioche roll at a pub called the Spice of Life. Thats next door to the Palace Theatre in Shaftesbury Ave a 5 minute walk from the shop.
