I had my knuckles tattooed when I was in reform school. Love and Hate. They were tattooed at night, in between the patrols. Done with a single neeedle and some indian ink. After I came out I had them surgically removed. So I've just got some faint scars. If you want to see some incredible prison tattoos the Russian Criminal Tattoo books are a good read. The film The Mark of Cain is also well worth a watch, if you're into prison tattoos.

Who have/do you get tattooed by?

I couldn't stick to the same tattooer or tattooers as I'm a complete tattoo slut. -
Chad did my sternum. You sure know you're being tattooed. But boy, is he fast. Wouldn't swap the experience for the world.

@ThaliaCamille Yes that's the bit. I recon it'll be a couple of weeks before the scabby bits gone.

@Jack You would not believe how close that looks to my home address. That is spooky.

Brooklyn Lager is not on the list. Having said that Brooklyn lager has only good memories for me. First time I drank that was on my first visit to the Big Apple at The Grand Central Oyster Bar.

The last one I had done just over a week ago is proving to be a bit of a bitch to heal. It's a very small tattoo but its on the outside of my forearm just where it bends. The majority of it is healing well but there's an area, prob about only one centimetre right on the bend that is quite scabby.

This from a trip to London a couple of weeks ago. Beer porn. Porterhouse-Covent Garden. Porterhouse Oyster Stout. A nice selection of American beer (with the exception of Blue Moon)

Here's my cat related injury. He slipped off the wardrobe and luckily my head broke his fall.

@tomtrap Hi & welcome to LST. I met Sam Ricketts a week ago at Wood Street. He turns out some really nice work and he's a Swindonian. By the way Franz Stefanik is doing a guest spot at Wood Street, Swindon (not London as it says on his blog) in April

February 2012 Best Tattoo of the Month Contest

Well done @Rebushido, superb tattoo. I would have voted for you if my missus @Jade1959 hadn't put in an entry. I've become rather attatched to my testicles and want it to stay that way. :) -
@Duffa I've just sent Franz an email asking if the Wood Street Tattoo he is working at is definately in London. Google returned 3 results for Wood Street, in London. One is in the financial area and the other two are on dodgy looking housing estates. It'd be good if it was Swindon he does some nice work.

Discovered a great little studio called Wood Street Tattoo in my home town, Swindon, of all places. Got this skull as a walk in from a super nice guy, Kris Manyana. I think he did a really nice job.

@Kev Hey Kev, thats me in the pic. I treated my Brother in Law to lunch on Sunday. There was no way was I paying for a £10 tattoo as well.

Bought some of this today. Opened it on the train home shared some with a fellow passenger. Expensive but very nice.

In London today with my brother in law celebrating his birthday. What better way to cap the day off with a great tattoo.
