  1. Bl**dy hell@Gingerninja, you were busy there... Tattoo hopping queen :-) All awesome, happy healing!
  2. I noticed that I appear to be logged out when visiting the home page. But as soon as I continue to any sub page, I'm signed in as myself again (without actively signing in!). Odd, but means that I don't actually have to sign in, just click anywhere. Does this work for anyone else with the sign out problem, too? On a sidenote, it just so happens that right now, instead of being signed out, I appear to be Graeme on the homepage. Back to omeletta on any other page. I can even go back and forth. Funny that.
  3. I'm impressed!! Although I know nothing about it to be honest. But hey, I've installed new memory in my macbook yesterday, that's a start, isn't it...?
  4. Started my Japanese crane arm with Yutaro at Seven Doors in London yesterday. Pic nicked from his instagram as I don't have one and the arm is wrapped atm. There is a second crane on the lower arm and more finger waves. As I don't have to travel and I'm not in a hurry, we decided not to stress it but do the whole thing in a couple of nice short(ish) sessions. Really enjoyed the time at the shop and look forward to going back!
  5. Just saw this and thought I'd post it for inspiration:
  6. That's so funny. We're not quite there yet. I think...
  7. Yeah, Canada is awesome! Just came back from my 4th trip, this time east coast only. I did see quite a few tattoos when I went to the beach near Montreal. They are naturally more visible at the beach though. Can't remember noticing that much in Canada apart from over there. As opposed to Chicago. It turned out that we were staying in a pretty hip neighbourhood and there were so many tattooed people around, that one could almost feel out of place without any. Very odd indeed. Not sure I liked that that much ;-)
  8. @oboogie Haha, here I was, thinking that you might have found some kind of secret magic super aftercare or so ;-)
  9. AW, thanks polliwog. He's really just a little innocent sweetie and hasn't yet got an idea what cool or tough or anything like that actually means. BTW, today, he drew lots of funky shapes with an ink pen onto his bare legs. Can't help but think that he didn't come up with that idea all by himself...
  10. Went to Seven Doors Tattoo in London yesterday for a drawing session. Had to bring the little one (their suggestion, as we had trouble finding a good date)... So I haven't actually got a new tattoo yet, but my son got two! A butterfly and a crazy design from Deno. Both put on by Yutaro who was really sweet to him. He's very proud now and thinks they are super cool :-)
  11. Coconut water, coconut water & coconut water! Good for hydration as well as sugar levels. Maybe a granola bar. Although I'm thinking date energy balls could be nice, too. Might try that next time.
  12. Wow, absolutely love that tiger, so beautiful! I have kind of a red kitty on my thigh as well, in a way similar but then totally different (pic is quite swollen, haven't quite managed to take a healed pic yet, sorry). By Alix Ge, done at the London Convention in September this year.
  13. Would love to go but it'll be a few years until I'm back in Montreal I'm afraid. If anyone needs a recommendation, I've just spent a couple of days at a super nice and pretty affordable AirBnb apartment over there. It wasn't quite central (Maybe that's why it was kinda cheap, but the place was quite new and rather posh) but 2 minutes walking distance to the metro station 'Du College'. 30 mins to central Montreal. Happy to sent info via PM.
  14. Just back from four weeks fabulous holiday with the family, first Chicago and then Canada. We enjoyed everything we did, but highlight was probably taking the little one (he's four now) canoe camping for three days in Algoquin park, Ontario. We were even lucky enough to see a moose feeding on water lilies! We watched her for about half an hour and were the only people on that lake during that time. Worth all the mosquito bites (even without seeing the moose), that's for sure.

  17. @bongsau Ooohh, have you got cranes on your arm?? Would you mind posting a photo? Can't seem to find a pic showing your arms properly in your gallery, or maybe I'm too stupid using this new forum...anyway, I'd have quite a bit of catching up to do to become your tattoo twin, you're too far ahead I'm afraid ;-) But if you ever end up in London, let's get together for a keyboard duo reggae session! Keep on keepin' on
  18. Great story! Love Vic Ruggiero as well as the red wurlitzer! As it happens, I play keys in a ska/rocksteady/early reggae band, too. It's the most laid back a.k.a laziest band in the world though, so not much going on at the moment unfortunately...
  19. True, but a decent artist (of any kind) should know their craft and that's not so subjective.
  20. I had a consultation with Yutaro at Seven Doors Tattoo today and put down the deposit for Japanese cranes on my arm! He wants to do another consultation, which includes drawing on me, about 10 days before we start tattooing in two months. I love that he's taking the time to check how the idea works on my body before he draws up the actual stencil. Very excited now!
  21. This looks awesome! I particularly love the colours!
  22. I would have suggested the derm route as well, at least if you'd put it on at the beginning. But I'm not sure what happens when you start using it on top of scabs for instance, as the healing process with derm is a little different AFAIK and scabs don't occur. How about wrapping the tattoo with some good old saran wrap just for the time you're in the water?
  23. Fair enough, for people who have to wear a uniform it's certainly a good solution. I've never been in that position myself so this wasn't on my radar...
