decided to go with a japanese background for my tattoos, i liked the idea of a mix of tradtional americana with some nice clouds

Got a namakubi done at a local shop. Sovereign Arms Tattoo in GR, MI. Getting tattooed around the shin hurts a lot more than I thought it would. Got a little shaky..

Sovereign Arms Tattoo is a great shop, just got a piece done yesterday by Gareth! Also check out Plowshare Studios in Cascade. Christopher Bettley does great fuckin work! There are a lot of shitty shops in GR so make sure you shop around and gauge your options!

You guys got any pictures of neo-traditional/american tradtional namakubi tattoos? I've been searching google and I admire horiyoshi iii's namakubi's but I can't seem to find any in a more american tradtional style.

Hey guys quick question, I'm goin to be setting up an appointment soon to get my elbow done, getting a tradtional rose with a wolf in the middle , and I was wondering not sure how to word this but I've seen a few japanese style pictures where the wolf/tiger/what have you has a rope tied around it's head with like a skull on it? Really vague description. But if anyone knows what I'm talking about or have reference picture. That would be super helpful thanks!

Recently got this done http://i.imgur.com/qcOwzGy.jpg Was possibly hoping to get some feedback on it. I do love it, but im thinking there might be a couple of things in there that could possibly be changed??(if possible, its definitely livable with) The fingers seem a little on the smaller scale with the palm and all, and how do you guys feel about the shading on the piece? Just looking for some opinions, much appreciated.

How well does this style mesh with other styles specifically traditional styles in particular. I've recently gotten a mandala piece done on my forearm and i'd like to incorporate some old school tattoos into my sleeve im working on. The mandala piece if mostly black so i figured i would keepy most of my other tattoos B&G with light accents of red and etc. Opinions would get greatly appreciated! imgur: the simple image sharer
