No, no and no!! [emoji36] Life, unfortunately, hasnt been kind to herself over the past couple of months as she's not been well. It's more or less gone off the radar for the past while. However, we are planning on getting married next year so hopefully this (in conjunction with the health getting better) will kick start the planning again! Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk

Booked in for a trip over to Leeds in December to continue my leg/foot with Tom Flanagan - the master of mandalas at the minute if you ask me. A mate is also coming over to get his first piece - he's booked in with Lukasz Christopher. Thank you Ryanair for your €20 return flights from Dublin! ? Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk

Where would you like to get tattooed? (Which shops)
Padji replied to joakim urma's topic in General Tattoo Discussion
Spider Murphy's top of my list for sure. Blackheart, ROA, Seven Doors are also up there. That list will change next week... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Thanks again all. Probably have left it too late but have dropped an email to Let Leye, hopefully I get a favourable response! Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk

Hoping to call into Tommy in Classic Tattoo, Dublin next week to book in for dots/stars filler on my sleeve - something like the pic below would be cool. Tommy is a very underrated tattoer, even by Irish standards. A real old school dude that puts out clean, bold trad work. I believe he worked with Freddy Corbin and Bob Roberts back in the day. Sweet, I love Gre Hale's work. Been pondering about a trip to Manchester for some time Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk

Hi all, Back again looking for advice! Visiting Belgium again at the start of Aug (we love the beers!!), and hoping to possibly get a piece when I'm there. It's likely we'll be visiting Ghent, Antwerp and Bruges but I don't know any artists/shops in these cities. We were in Bruges last year and I don't recall any shops there. Any/all recommendations appreciated! Thanks, Paddy Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk

Scott Move (not sure if that's his real name but that's what's on his 'gram) and Adam Hudson do some cool traditional B&G along with the aforementioned Sway Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That's s bummer. Had you flights booked? Just been in touch with Tom Flanagan in Oddfellows in Leeds for an appointment at the end of the year. Didn't realise flights were as cheap from Dublin Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk

Ah didn't cop that - never heard of Aaron Hodges before seeing him on SM's Instagram page, he's putting out some pretty nice work too. Might drop the shop an email and see if I could get a bit of a tattoo orgy going :o:eek:

Just took a look at Spider Murphy's - Theo Mindell, Paul Dobleman and Stuart Cripwell under the one roof? Ho-lee sheeeit! That could be the start and finish of the tattoo road trip right there! @heathenist, that's a very handy repository - bookmarked. @Hands On, we'll be home at that stage. Likely will be early July to end August we'll be traveling

So, looks like myself and my better half have made the decision to get married and we're strongly looking at doing the deed in Vegas. The (initial) plan for our honeymoon would be to do a road trip across the States for approx 2 months afterwards. A rough itinerary would be as follows: Vegas > San Fran > Colorado > Texas > Louisiana > Alabama > Mississippi > Tennessee and the on to NYC/Boston/Chicago for flight home. Obviously, mind has immediately locked into 'Tattoo Road Trip' mode and I'm thinking of the various artists etc that I could hit up when I'm there. If we were to take that route, what shops/artists would be along that trail? I follow quite a few but, being from Ireland, remembering where all these guys are based is a struggle! Off the top of my head, a few guys I would like to stick on 'the list' Stefan Johnsson - San Francisco Steve Byrne - Austin Tony Hundahl - Austin Chad K - Austin? Oliver Peck - Dallas Derek Billingsley - Nashville AJ Lingerfeld - NC New York - the list is endless! Chicago - the guys at Great Lakes Feel free to bombard me with names/places/suggestions!! Thanks all, Paddy

Hi all, My better half has an old, terrible tattoo that she had done when she was 15 [emoji33] To this day, she hates it and wants to get something decent done with it. The problem us not so much the removal side of things but the scarring that the tattooer caused when butchering her! It's pretty small so should be easy enough (I reckon) to work a bigger piece around it after a bit of laser to take out the dark black but I suppose the question is, what is scarring/raised/lumpy skin like to tattoo over and is there any particular advice for this problem? I imagine that this is a relatively common problem/issue for tattooers when it comes to cover ups? Also, I'd guess that the pain of laser/cover-up would be worse due to the scarring? Would welcome any views. Many thanks, Paddy

Salon Serpent in Amsterdam is a great shop. Matt Houston is working there now, I love his stuff. Got a piece from him last year and is a nice dude. I love Lins Stigsson's work too, if I go back, I'd like a piece from her

Hi all, Have received good advice here Re: shop recommendations in the past so I'll try again [emoji1] Myself and the better half are heading to Belgium for a few days in a couple of weeks and thinking of getting some work done while I'm there. Were flying into Brussels but most likely staying in Bruges during our trip with possibly a short stay in Ghent. I'd even take a recommendation for a shop in Brussels if I could make it work. Thinking of a trad rose of no man's land piece. Thanks again, Paddy

First piece on my legs by Matthias Boettcher in Lowbrow Berlin. Happy man

Thanks for all the replies/suggestion, folks. Getting first piece on my legs (front of shin) by Matthias Boettcher in Lowbrow Berlin on Jan 31st
-
Got an appointment at the end of the month with Matthias Boettcher in Lowbrow Berlin. A piece on the lower front shin - first piece on my legs so not sure what to expect. In actually on a stag/bachelor party so the tattoo surely won't help the hangover!

Yeah, real solid clean work. Helps too that he's a genuinely nice guy. Would like a Navajo piece from him down the line; he's really banging out some great stuff these days Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So, closer to having the sleeve finished. A cool little rose filler from Paul O'Rourke done at Love Hate in Cork, Ireland. Great shop and Paul is a gentleman. Would like a Navajo piece from him down the line; he's really banging out some great stuff these days Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My super cool new filler piece from Paul O'Rourke at Love Hate in Cork, Ireland. First time at the shop and was blown away by how good it is - also helped that Paul is a seriously nice guy. I definitely will be back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks all, appreciate it. Trying to get an appointment with Paul O'Rourke Love Hate here in Cork before Christmas so could have a double whammy in the next couple of months! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah, would agree about Dublin, not a great standard in my largely uneducated view. Surprised to hear that about Berlin considering it is a large city more or less slap bang I'm the middle of Europe! I'm liking look of Conspiracy Inc though, didn't realise Wendy Pham was there. Love her peonies... Used to be obsessed with Lars Uwe's work but think it needs a big piece to do it justice? Hi all, back again looking for ideas. I'm on a stag/bachelor party at the end Jan and no better way to spend the time than to get a piece done (drinking a close 2nd!). Anyway, any recommendations for an artist/shop in the city? Probably looking something traditional. Thanks, Paddy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
