Hi Anna - I am experiencing a similar situation with my first tattoo - what I call craters. It's a week old today. Did yours look anything like my pic attached and how is it looking now 3 days later?

Hi - I'm a new member and wondering if anyone has every seen anything like this? I followed aftercare to the exact letter....was looking good but had more scabs than I was expecting. And then after my shower and lightly patting yesterday, I'm left with HUGE craters in spots. I LOVE my new tattoo and am concerned both about the health aspect and about how it will look when it heals. I'm out of town and can't visit the studio that did the tat (by the way one of the most reputable in Atlanta, GA) and am not sure what I should do with it at this point - continue the moisturizing? Let it dry? Maybe use a couple of doses of antibiotic cream (which I've heard is a no-no)? It's very painful and at times is flaming red around the edges. I am slightly anemic and don't know if that's an issue but was hoping for some advice!! Having trouble adding an image but I put one on my introduction a few minutes ago.

Hi everyone - I have been a tattoo admirer for years, but only recently (1 week ago) got my first inside wrist tat. It holds such a significant meaning for me as I've recently decided to rejoin the living after being widowed 12 years ago. My kids think I've gone off the deep end! The butterfly for me represents the major transformation in my life after losing 192 pounds, leaving everything behind for a new amazing job and starting over from scratch. I was absolutely thrilled with my results but have some concerns that I'm not healing properly. Was hoping for some input? I'm out of town and can't get to the very reputable shop in Atlanta, GA that did the tattoo. Thanks to all and I'm excited to be part of this forum! Patti
