  1. I ran 2 F trucks both with 351C's a few years back. Loved them trucks. Had them both converted to LPG too. I was surprised how well them motors pumped on gas. It was like they we're build for LPG. Nice little score on the 59. That's what ya need, cool projects to keep ya occupied. Kinda why I just bought this '78 Trumpy Tiger. Talking with one of the brothers tonight. Another one of the boys has a '78 Trumpy Bony. I'll get Dodgy to give me a good orientation on these Units. Can ya post a pick of your Custom 3 please mate? Had a bastard week this week, so knocked off early, pulled out the Harley and smashed the fucker through the hills.
  2. A few years ago, I got back into getting tattooed, and really wanted to have my arms re sleeved. When I first sat down with old mate, we discussed new tattoos, and we continued along this path for 12 months before I hinted at him re sleeving my old work. He knew it was coming, and because of the extension of work we were doing, he then knew it was something that had to be done. I knew how difficult this was going to be for him, and he was honest...& said, if I had 1st walked in wanting my arms redone, he would have turned me away. But..everyone is different where a different approach is needed I guess. I knew the kind of person I was dealing with initially and just knew a certain type of etiquette and respect was required 1st.
  3. Well done...I think? Next thing now is to go for your restricted motorcycle license. Ya don't get many chances at being shit at riding...but you got an awesome country to ride!
  4. Sweet advice all around here already. Again, don't be too concerned with a little blow out here and there. I'm with @Graeme on this, I actually like my little imperfections, makes them look real. Like with my hands, some places I've had a little drop out, I love it. It makes them look how tattoos kinda should look on the hands.
  5. @SeeSea. I probably wouldn't say upper thigh is a harder slog to get through. I mean, fkn smashing ribs and sternum had it's moments where I was thinking ...faaark! Just expected the thighs to be a walk in the park and it was not quite what I expected. As mentioned, sucky rather than faaarkin 'ell. :) But @Mark Bee. Your right man. When I started banging torso, my mindset was fuck this shit. Smash this fucker hard, smash it solid and we don't stop til the fucker is done. You bet.
  6. Yes, I know. :) When the moon hits your eye, like a big pizza pie, that's Amore. But; When you're hit by a jug, in a South Auckland pub, THAT'S a Māori.
  7. @Shaggy. Suiting down mate, fkn nice. Another Aussie here. Brisbane. Welcome, & look forward to seeing your suit evolve. Dig that snake man, good choice of features all round. What do ya call a hundred Kiwis standing in a paddock? A vacant lot
  8. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Sounds like an interesting approach. We grew up being scared about falling peril to the evils of narcotics. I mean, to the point as I've mentioned, literally being petrified about growing up and becoming that very person I was told that was so bad. Experimenting in activities that brought nothing but death and despair and that how "bad" it was and how bad it would make you feel. So, from that initial experimentation...treading very carefully, and then you discover how good it made you feel, contradicted everything that was installed by fear. No one ever told you that this shit actually makes you feel good. How can something that makes you feel good really be all that bad? Pffft! Maybe we just approached the whole education behind it from the wrong angle. I don't know, and I probably never will. And maybe I look too deep for an answer why it all went wrong. Never the less, as long as I can try educate my children with an open book as opposed to a closed one we can make a positive difference. Anyway, interesting article. Appreciate the share.
  9. EDIT - seen your bikes in Motorcycles @pidjones
  10. I don't know anything about removal. By the sounds of it, one doesn't need to be a registered nurse to perform laser removal? Or I spose it would come down to local state regulations?
  11. Excellent. Looking forward to seeing your new frog tattoo. I dig frogs too, and toads, and samurai sword wielding toads. I'll get around to posting a pic of my samurai frogs later.
  12. Fuckin sweet! & thanks again. I purchased the manual from Lowbrow oh, and a few other bits and bobs to make it worthwhile the freight. - - - Updated - - - She'll be ready to bang through the hills next Saturday. Spoken to some of the boys and sweet, one of the boys can pull this down and rebuild these with his eyes closed. I don't think I'll test him on those abilities, just a general orientation will do.
  13. Yeah. AFL is ariel ping pong, Union is for poofs & league is a yobbos game.
  14. Communication is not as easy as people take for granted at the best of times. Add go the equation we have mixed cultural origins with the forum, add our only means of communication is exchanged through written form, it's easy to misinterpret a persons exact intention at times. I think @WhyMista has done very well in explaining what was meant which was taken, even by myself out of its original context. And that, no matter where we come from is called respect. I can read that very clearly in between those lines. - - - Updated - - - Now, shut the fuck up. It's beer O'Clock here for me now.
  15. @Breakme is an Aussie too, so we're on the same page as this. Yes, different cultures do have different expectations, but don't worry...many people here haven't been brought up on that old time respect. I concede that we will view this from a different vantage point.
  16. That's a bold statement. See, we all perceive things differently don't we? Because I may see a person who openly discusses how much something costs as either bragging or being a snob themselves who are more concerned with materialistic value. Things, mean different things to different people.
  17. I think it's rude when people ask how much did you pay..for anything. It's none of their business, and with my close group of people, it is never done...so then if it's divulged it's because the person has chosen to. For us, it's called respect. It's the same with why? questions. What the fuck do you mean why?, why? are you a Police Officer...I must insist to see your badge before answering any more questions. General respectful conversation should not consist of how much's and why's. But that's how we were brought up. On the other token, and this has been discussed through these pages recently. If a person asks me how much my tattoos cost, then they're clearly not the type of individual I feel like associating with. It ain't about the money...it goes way further than a materialistic acquirement. It shows me how shallow a person is especially when the cost of tattoos is asked. they will never understand our lifestyle, now nor would I want them to. Don't take me wrong. I'm not having a dig here. We are all taught a certain set of principles from an early age, and I do not believe that how strict I see certain things as being the pinnacle of expected behaviours. We're all very different with different expectations.
  18. I'm with @Shaun1105 on this one. I've never used the term collector, but I don't see anything wrong with the word. It's only a word, a description & probably a description that differentuates between a person that has a tattoo & a person that spends their time being tattooed. Makes sense to me, I don't think the word requires an analytical study of its' comprehension. But yeah, I've referred to myself on the odd occasion as an enthusiast. Like, when some fkn idiot asks me...mate, why so many tattoos? I say...I don't know what you expect me to say mate, I'm an enthusiast. Yeah, I'm fuckin' enthusiastic about tattoos.
  19. @kylegrey. Thanks very much. Appreciated.
  20. I thought thighs were gonna be a walk in the park before we started. Especially after blasting the entire torso literally in a matter of months, week in week out. How mistaken I was. :)
  21. May I resurrect this thread please. As posted in our awesome thread, just purchased a '78 Trumpy Tiger. The good thing is, there's plenty of new parts available for these early models. I have come across this place: Search results for: 'Triumph' The freight is very reasonable to Aus also. Has any other old Trumpy enthusiast have some additional links to purchase parts to share please? Lowbrow Customs have a few pieces I know as well. Finding a mechanic on the other hand who won't pull your pants down over the price is the other factor, but I'll work that one out. Cheers.
