How could I forget massive realistic eyes! Seen so many of them lately, either on the inner bicep, outer forearm or hand.

Haha, shame my boss is female! I couldn't imagine going to work the next day after getting tattooed.

What I did with both my thighs is spend the whole of the next day and night in only my underwear to allow the tattoo to dry out as much as possible, and without any irritations. By the second day I was able to wear loose-ish fitting dress pants to work and had absolutely no sticking issues at all.

I seem to have seen loads of lanterns with flames and moths, tons of pocketwatches and a number of bearded men often sporting little facial tattoos of anchors under the eye.

Hell yes! Nothing further to add.

When I was 18 a workmate (who was also 18) got a huge superman tattoo that covered his entire chest. It looked terrible and tacky. I often wonder about him, if he decided to laser it or live with it.

The thighs suck! I had one little nerve cluster on the mid outer thigh that was horrid with involuntary twitching. Thank goodness it was when it was being shaded and not the outline. Also getting close to my bum was pretty bad, I can't imagine what its like to do a whole ass session. I still have more I want to do, but am going to leave them for now and focus on my arms. Or maybe I should just get all the bad spots out the way first?

Beautiful horses @hellbunny. I had horses when I lived in New Zealand and used to compete in show jumping, it was such a massive part of my life for so many years. They are the most amazing animals, the bond you form with them is like nothing else.

@Kahlan I'm at 2 weeks for my second thigh tattoo which is on the outside of my thigh from hip to almost knee. I'm still itchy, peely and very tender when laying on it or if the shower is too hot. From memory when I had my first thigh done last year, it took 3 weeks for me to be able to sleep on it without it hurting, and I do remember it being dry and itchy for a good couple of weeks after that. I found that the purple parts were dry and itchy for probably 2 months all up, I assumed it was a mild reaction to the colour but I think the thighs are just harder to heal in general as my forearm was a breeze.

This pretty much sums up my beach experiences growing up in New Zealand. Switch the fried clams to fish and chips, add in a massive ocean undertow and a hole in the ozone layer which means you get burnt in 5mins. I try to avoid the sun as much as possible, even on 40 degree days (centigrade) I'll wear long sleeves if I can. I hate feeling my skin burn.

I laughed at this, it made me think of people that suffer from Pica, where they crave and eat weird stuff like chalk and cushion stuffing.

Not a fan. Why limit yourself to (IMO) boring ones and zeros when there are so many other amazing images you could put on your body? The pattern kinda reminds me of those allergy scratch tests the Dr does on your back.

I knew there was someone who had recently had a convention session and was struggling to remember who it was. Thanks for your insight and experience, I really like the way you thought of people watching the tattoo process and not you. Never thought to look at it that way. :)
