For me, most of my friends have known what I've wanted for almost as long as I have, so they get the meaning behind it (not exactly rocket science, I have a Griffin on my arm, give you 3 guesses what my surname is). It's only ever strangers that ask, and like you guys it's most often the "how much & what does it mean" combo. I round down with the price, and love seeing their faces when they realise how much a good quality, relatively large tattoo costs. I never explain the full meaning but tend to give a rough outline, just enough for the person asking to be satisfied.

Mentioned the peacock idea to a work friend and she said it was too girly, thatI should make it kmanly by putting a dagger through it or something, made me laugh.

Thinking of going for a walk-in this weekend to get a peacock on my thigh (like the totm on here). From what I can find the original flash is by L. Stoney but I can't find a nice big version of it, would it be a faux pas to take along a picture of someone else's tattoo?

Okey dokey I will probably post in that thread eventually, would it be polite to wait until Lee gets it shot for his portfolio rather than sticking my own shots up? I'm actually thinking of getting my legs done next, since I wear trousers 99% of the time and it wouldn't affect any employment opportunities, I can just fill them up and really explore what I like. Was thinking of getting a peacock (much like the one that was a tattoo of the month on this very site!) on my left thigh :)

Hello everyone! Been lurking around this site for a while now, I'd say about a year, and it's been an invaluable resource and given me a lot of tips. Thought it was time to finally give a little back :) So far I've only got one half sleeve, done by Lee Knight at Frith Street. Absolutely blown away with how it came out, not sure whether the "latest tattoo" thread is the most appropriate place for pics?
