I find it tremendously rude to just flake on an appointment with no communication. I also get very annoyed with people who are late for meetings/appointments. That just shows a lack of respect for the other person's time; that they feel their time is more valuable than yours. I've worked for myself and owned a restaurant in the past so I fully understand the feast or famine nature of your business and how one missed opportunity can wreak financial havoc. I was actually really glad to hear that when I went in to book today's session that my guy was having to book things a month out instead of the week and a half to 2 weeks he was at last year. He is a solid tattooer and a damn nice guy and it seems to me that consistently having a month booked ahead of you would lead to a sense of some financial stability in a volatile market. Sorry if I ramble, still on my first cup of joe.

OK, session starts in a couple hours. Need to put that tap talk thingie on my phone for if we take a break. Now that the day is here for the rib job I am a bit anxious but it will be fine. Ribs don't hurt THAT bad, do they? ;-)

Tomorrow is the day. My first torso tattoo, winged skull on my ribs. I can't wait. This shit is going to hurt.

I think I'm about half way through this season of OITNB and I'm enjoying it. My oldest daughter just started it so it is interesting to have a 20 year old lesbian's perspective on the show.

I think I might find a new plane of existence.

Upcoming tattoo will be on my left rib cage. This will be my first torso tattoo and I am expecting it to be a memorable experience.

Booked the tattoo. It will have to wait until mid-July after we get back from FL but it is nice to have something on the books.

I just started OITNB, finished up season two about a week before they dropped season 3. My daughter is really into the woman who is playing a new charterer this season. I think I'm on EP 4, and she just got introduced. I also just found out that the woman who plays the mute used to front p punk band in the 70's. The shirts I believe.

I remember some guy my wife worked with several years ago telling me about this great new acronym he heard about, FTW: For the Win. I tried to tell him that it meant Fuck the world and that there were a whole lot of bikers with FTW tattoos that would agree with me. HE still didn't get it though. To be fair he was a bit tipsy and a total yuppie so he had prolly never even considered the Fuck the World concept.

Just finished doing some side work and now I have some cash for a new tattoo. Going to stop by the shop at lunch today but I'm thinking about a winged skull with a stiletto through it on my left kidney. Still thinking things through though.

Went to see Marina and the Diamonds with the family last night. She put on a fantastic show and she has a strut that will make you die. Great time. Then the Riot Fest lineup came out and we all freaked out again.

I did not get the job on St. Kitts, but that is likely for the best. Interviewing for a gig in Chicago that would be a much better fit. Going to see a live performance of Welcome to Nightvale on Saturday. Going to see Marina and the Diamonds a few weeks from now. Ah, the joy of having a teenage daughter. I did not go see The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion but I am going to Marina and it will be fun. She has given me an appreciation for pop music that I did not know could exist.

So I'm going through the bookmarks I've made of various artists I've found online over the years organizing them by State and city and I foind that I already had two people from RedLetter1 already saved.

It looks like Litos does some very nice stuff. I will be down in the Tampa / St. Pete area in early July and have been browsing around shops but not seeing anything very impressive (Until I came here, Imaging that). Most of the shops mentioned don't seem to be around any more. Can any one offer any more suggestions. I think the hour drive from St. Pete to Litos might be worth it though.

I still need to watch the last episode of Better Call Saul. I have to push my wife on it. for some reason she puts off watching a final show, we still haven't watched the final episode of ER. I blazed through 3 seasons of AHS very quickly. That was fun. Can't find the 4th season streaming anywhere. Hopefully FX will run it again before the new season. My daughter has us watching Friends which has reminded me of my celebrity crush on Lisa Kudrow. I see she has a show now on HBO I will have to check out at some point.

Daughter got us watching Fresh Off The Boat. Wasn't expecting much but, damn, it is really funny. I like the Danny Brown theme music too.

I saw VoiVod way back when and they were fantastic. I think they were touring with Soundgarden who I thought were rather annoying. Took my 19 year old daughter to see DRI not long ago. It was in a warehouse like the hardcore days of old. They are still as loud and fast as ever.

I have both the Saul's on the DVR. Hope to talk my wife into them soon. She had to watch the episode of The Flash that we were behind last night and our daughter has us on a Friends marathon on Netflix. I have started watching this show called Black Mirror on Netflix. It is a British science fiction show, 3 ep per season, and it is possibly the best science fiction I have ever seen on television. It is not happy 'save the space princess' stuff. More along the lines of the darkest stuff Bradbury or Asimov could have come up with. Fist one is very, very dark and I have not come away from any of them feeling particularly good. That being said they are fantastic. If you don't shy away from the darker side of our existence then I would highly recommend this show.

I still watch Survivor and put in an application every year, they have never called me. If I do move to St Kitts I will have to stop sending applications. The shows I really pay attention to catching are Scorpion, TWD, Dr. Who (even though it has been disappointing for a while), and TBBT. I go along with the family and watch Modern Family and The Flash. I will watch American Pickers, Antiques Roadshow, and such if I catch them. My wife likes the House Hunters type shows and Food network. sounds like a lot but it really isn't. Food Network, HGTV, and History are just easy to catch something on. We are introducing a friend to Breaking Bad on weekends and for some reason I started watching that Z Nation show on Netflix from Sci Fi channel. It is as bad as you would expect but it has somehow put the hook in me.

Holy crap. The initial interview went great. It would be a bit of a pay cut but how often do you get a chance to move to St. Kitts? Fuck. Another Skype type interview next week. Woo Hoo

I found this place, loved it and then life started kicking my ass. But I have now found my way back. On the uncool side I was diagnosed with diabetes and way fucked up cholesterol. been working on that so at least my sugar is coming under control. On the awesome side I started looking for a new job and we all decided we could line without winter so I started looking in the southern areas, FL and such. The really awesome thing is that I now have an upcoming interview for a job on St. Kitts that I am well qualified for. No chance of touching a snow shovel down there. I'm about to jump out of my skin at the thought. I'm actually getting nervous about the interview (I haven't been on that side of the table for almost 8 years). If it all works out I will have to figure out what my leaving town tattoo will be.
