We buy pre sale Riot Fext tix around Thanksgiving and they just announced today that the original Misfits lineup will be reuniting after 33 years to play this year. The rest of the lineup should be out soon but that was a nice icebreaker of a release. Gonna see how long the line is for the Elm Street Tattoo Friday the 13th thing tonight. and then I have an appointment with Marina Inoue at the Elm Street Tattoo Festival next week. All in all, a good day.

I think the isolation of living by myself down in Texas right now brought me back to this show since I haven't looked at it really since season 2. I'm only commenting now to questions Dave's shirt. I have pretty much that same shirt but it is from '88 and says Dag Nasty. Hope those dudes got some credit from whomever made that shirt.

Melt Banana, Melvins, and Napalm Death last night.

This was my first tattoo. I was 17 and drunk in a buddies apartment. He had made a machine out of a walkman motor and an ink pen tube with a sewing needle. It has since been covered up.

I have time coming up with Marina Inoue at the Elm Street Fest. More work on the squidpants. I came up with an idea for a Marina and the Diamonds inspired tattoo that she should be able to make awesome. So it will be a Marina tattoo by Marina. I've already floated this by her and she thought that sounded great. It is gonna be a long wait until May.

I have 3 good sized pieces on my legs so far. I will likely get something new on one of them in may. The dagger is by Scott Sylvia; the mushrooms and skull/wings are by Jereme Galloway

So I think Tim was booked up before artists were even announced. I think that was for the best though as I am now talking with Marina Inoue and will be working with her. This will be cool. I had a super nerdy thought that it would be really cool to get a Marina and the Diamonds inspired tattoo from Marina. Not sure what that would look like though, or how a Marina and the Diamonds tattoo would not look odd on an overweight middle aged dude.

Another member of the 45 club here. I would love to be able to get a new tattoo about every two months. That way it continues to be a special event and I have plenty of time to enjoy the new piece and let it settle in before adding another. The caveat would be if I were working on a large, multi session tattoo, something I have yet to do. In that situation I would want to keep going every other week or as often as the artist is willing to work on it. I know you have to strike a balance between working on sections and allowing them to heal on such projects.

No trip to Toronto. My past has caught up with me and I can't get into Canada. Oh well. Elm Street Tattoo and Music Fest is in May and so is Friday the 13th. I think I will survive.
