I'm 18 years old and in the San Francisco Bay area. I started tattooing only a year ago but I have drawn and painted my whole life, and hope to turn tattooing into my career. For the last year I've done a bunch of research on the history of tattooing, but I want to learn as much of it as I can. My favorite tattooer through out history is George Burchett. Im very interested in American Traditional tattoos, as well as Japanese tattoos.
My first tattoo was a Pinup girl riding on the atomic bomb on my ribs, since then I have a George burchett style dragon flash tattoo on my arm as well as a tiger and the sailor jerry hula girl. I've tattooed my own leg with ed hardy flash, a traditional cobra design I drew, and a lame outline of california on my ankle (the first one I did on myself...we all make mistakes right?)
just came here to learn more about the history of tattoos and connect with the community.
