This is where we started with what Daniel did on my wife Sylvia's left leg/ankle 25 years ago. We had the XXV added to that.

Here it comes. The session with Freddy was awesome. We started here. The original tattoo by Daniel from 25 years ago. - - - Updated - - - We put an XXV for "25 years" with it. This is the image what we worked from for the dragon. The guitar body and pick guard was done by Antonio Tsai. He is a inlay artist based in Vietnam.

I grew up with the periodic table, most folks won't get it without explanation, (oh well) :p We'll see what it is we do for sure. Mine might/probably take more than one session. We will see Freddy together. It's been years, Tons of anticipation...:o

Heading to Oakland, California to see Freddy Corbin at Temple tattoo to get inked for our 25th wedding anniversary. Appointment is noon, Tuesday. Daniel Higgs did the original wedding tattoos at Realistic Studio in San Francisco and Freddy was in the shop watching and making comments while he was doing us. Daniel doesn't do tattoos any more. So our first choice is Freddy to keep spiritual continuity. The wife and me are getting a "25-XXV added somewhere . I am also getting a "Dragon" mixed into it... I'll keep you up to date. :cool:

Sweet, Something new to read. I haven't read Salinger in over 20 years. Too bad it can't be downloaded to read offline. I just finished "Gone to Soldiers" by Marge Piercy. It's a way good read. Just before that I reread "Stranger In A Strange Land" by Robert Heinlein

Relationship tattoos... :eek: I have two, planning on at least one more. For sure no names, For me,,, to share a tattoo, it's got to be bigger than either of us. I like thinking about my/our next one. -
I got them in SF back in 90-91. I called Freddy Corbin to do them but Daniel answered the phone. Just a matter of chance I ran into Freddy at the Haight Street Fair in 88 when he was handing out cards to "Find Your Tattoo Reality" I still have it in a box somewhere.

I've only been technically tattooed by two artists, jailhouse tattoos do count, eh? But only the three tattoos by the pro can still be seen. I would rather have him do another but he doesn't do tattoos any more. My wife and me want a 25th anniversary tattoo by July 2015. So I figure the next best thing is to have someone from his old studio do it for me. It's a connection spirit thing I am working from. I know who and where to find him. I have time to make an appointment and get some designs down...

I just saw a movie... on recommendation from Mark from the motorcycle shop next door. Seven Psychopaths Colin Farrell, Woody Harrelson, Christopher Walken, Sam Rockwell and others. First movie that made me say "what the fuck" in a long time. I'm still processing it. :confused::rolleyes::cool::eek::):(;):o:p Worth a look/see, I think some of you may like it.

Our wedding rings. They were a lot sharper when they were done. These were done in 1990 by Daniel Higgs in SF. We talk about getting some new Tats for our 25th anniversary, but Daniel doesn't do tattooing anymore. So I was thinking of getting Freddy Corbin to do the 25th anniversary tattoos. Freddy was working there when Daniel was doing these. It's only right to keep the connection going.

Greetings Ran into a video on Freddy Corbin by chance which led here. I have a few tattoos. I'll dig up some pictures and history later. I've lived all over the Northwest from the Oakland CA to Vancouver BC Canada to in between. Anyway, checked out some of the forum and enjoyed it. Glad to be here.:cool::p
