So Kyle had a cancellation at 2pm.... ended up going in for an impromptu elbow ditch pearl in a clam shell! from stencil to walking out, 1hr total! I expected it to be horrible but it was actually fine. I just can't bend real well well at the moment 🤣

Thanks, hopefully I'm one of the ones that it isn't too bad for. Either way, I won't be avoiding it as I want them done. My sternum was easy, but the front of my thigh was shit- so who knows! I filled out a booking form and requested March, so we will see how we go!

😭 it's gonna suck balls. But I want them done. Thinking I'll do the left elbow soon too , before I get to the "awkward gap" stage, so I have a bit more freedom in what to put there. Though I'll probably just go with two elbow flowers anyway

Happy New Year peoples! First tattoo for the year, yesterday arvo. Right front forearm. While I was there Kyle was looking at my arm and goes "sorry dude but we're doing your elbow next" . Shite. Next appointment is Feb 10 for the reverse mermaid I missed out on last year. Then it's elbow . Thinking flower as it's an odd shaped gap. See what happens. I still want the sad eye cloud thing. Might whack that on my leg instead.

So I didn't get that return appointment, cane down with gastro . And then as it looked like I could rebook, the F***ing oven died on me ... looks like I'll be going a little longer before booking in 😭

Wore my "tattoos are stupid" shirt to today's appointment. Got a peacock on the left triceps and then two little bangers from the gumball machine. Both are on right arm. Pics are a tad awkward, taken just after unwrapping. I head back tomorrow for a couple extras and then that will likely be it til next year 🙂

A friend of mine has the word "princess" tattooed in Arabic . She got one of the doctors she worked for to write the word down. She chose it purely because it was aesthetically pleasing to look at compared to English (have to agree!) Don't worry about covering it up. Like it's been mentioned, there's no pleasing everybody and you got the tattoo for yourself, not the rest of the world. It's not an offensive tattoo, you're good.

like Dan said, its just a lotion and wait situation. I have had a couple spots on different tattoos go like this, but just keeping up with the aftercare was enough for them to heal as if there were no issues.

I was meant to have a couple more appointments, but one of my girls had a few scares. All good now. Saturday I got the horse on my left inner bingo wing and the flipped demon/lady head on front left thigh. Horse was mostly fine, but ita arse was a bit rough going. Lady demon sucked. There was no consistency (very different to outer thigh which I could get into a groove with and was fine). She went from easy, to shit, to easy every few seconds. But Kyle is super fast, so he smashed them out quick which made it easier. Nice and red and bruised today! Next appointment is end of September.

Oh I'm fully expecting to hate myself for it 🤣 But it will be worth it... right 🥲🥴 Thanks for sharing the pics! Also, loving the stack of skulls on the left arm! Glad to hear you didn't find it too horrible, I'll hold out in hope! While it would be nice to have the same experience as Dan, I'm fully expecting it to suck

3 hours on the back would be plenty I'd imagine! The regular appointments would be nice to look forward to- Are you finding you're developing a bit of a ritual leading up these appointments now?

for those playing at home- I have decided on a sad eye cloud (cloud, eye in middle, raindrops) for the right elbow. Still trapesing through images for further inspiration for left arm through.

I have had way too many late nights completing this stupid assignment for uni- its time for something fun. If you won a lifetime of free tattoos, but the catch was that each tattoo had to be/ or incorporate a specific motif what would you choose? my answer is skulls. Every day of the week. No particular reason other than I fricken love skulls

Everyones painscale is different. For me- a 10 is childbirth . None of my tattoos have felt like I was pushing a 10lb 7 oz baby out of my vagina again, but some people do state that some tattoos are a 10. Everyone will have a different idea of pain based on their lived experiences. ( compare someone who has only stubbed a toe vs someone who has broken a bone for example ) If you want easy peasy pain- go arms. outside of arm is a piece of piss. Inner forearms more sensitive than outer, but still nothing hard to deal with (very low pain scale for me, more of an annoyance than pain). Eat a decent meal the day of and the night before, be well rested, well hydrated, don't be loaded on drugs or hung over from a night on the sauce and you will be fine. As far as the design goes, they may just use skin breaks instead of actually using white ink. As far as communicating with the artist- research who is out there and see what they prefer. Some prefer email, some in person, some say fill out an online booking request. Do the research and you'll get the answers you're after.

I was going to pop this in latest tattoo thread, but the rest of my collection is here, so I'll just keep it together. Initially, today's appointent was going to be 3 pieces, but have to hold off - so just grabbed the dragon head. Back of the bingo wing. Next week Andrew will touch up the reds he's done previously (axe, butterfly, strawberry, little bit on swallow) as he isn't happy with how the reds looking. Happy with my dragons head 🐲❤

Rather excited. I asked Kyle if we would have time to at least start the thigh as well as do the left inner bicep in the one appointment and he gave the green light- so booking request form was filled out this morning which means circus horse and flipped lady/demon head on the left thigh to come in August - woo! Thigh we will size up and decide if its front of or side of when I'm in the shop in July. (Possibly similar positioning and sizing as current right thigh tattoo shown in previous post- depends on what Kyle suggests as I am pretty flexible on it) for the mean time- the lucky rabbit foot and elephant have finished flaking and I am in count-down mode for my appointment with Andrew on July 7 . Autumn/Winter has been/is busy ! (Australia)

Not my style but it's very tidy. F*** what anyone thinks and just get the tattoos you want. 🙂
