Laser Away Opinions/Advice on my tattoo
lasereast replied to ksp2001's topic in Tattoo Removal or Coverup
Subjecting the tattoo to surgery such that the skin containing it is removed and the rest is sewn together is another widely opted procedure. - - - Updated - - - Certain cosmetic tattoos, such as pink, white and flesh-colored lip liners, may darken immediately with laser therapy. This effect can usually be corrected with further treatment. If immediate skin darkening is a concern, the laser should be tested on a small spot first. -

Learning how to do laser removal?
lasereast replied to eisen777's topic in Tattoo Removal or Coverup
No single laser can remove all tattoo colors. Different dyes respond to different light wavelengths. Black and dark green are the easiest colors to remove; yellow, purple, turquoise and fluorescent dyes are hardest to fade. -
Tattoos which are small and are not very bright or dark coloured can be removed through by applying fading creams regularly. The tattoo can always be manipulated by additional designs and/or colours to meet the current fancy of the person.

Laser treatments may darken or lighten skin pigment over and around the tattoo. Apply sunscreen before and after laser tattoo removal to minimize changes in your skin pigment. For the same reason, wait for your tan to fade before having a tattoo remove.

Laser tattoo removal aftercare etc
lasereast replied to Valerie Vargas's topic in Tattoo Removal or Coverup
Not totally agree with u that....i know people whove been trying to laser off medium sized plain black tattoos for a couple of years and they are only beginning to finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. your lasered tattoo WILL look like shit for the whole period of time you are treating it ( i reckon it looks a bit like mouldy bread),. How can u say like this ?- 33 replies

Yes..it is a good future option because PicoSure’s ultra-short pulse duration goes beyond photothermal action creating an intense photomechanical impact, patented PressureWave™, resulting in greater disruption of the target for better clearance with fewer treatments, less fluence and without injury to the surrounding skin. Even dark, stubborn blue and green inks, as well as recalcitrant tattoos can be removed.

How long should I wait after a tattoo to play sports?
lasereast replied to vPooch's topic in Tattoo After Care
Tattooing itself may scar or change skin texture, an effect often hidden by the dyes. If laser removal uncovers skin changes, you may be left with what looks like a ghost of your old tattoo. -

Immediately following treatment, an ice pack is applied to soothe the treated area. The patient will then be asked to apply a topical antibiotic cream or ointment. A bandage or patch will be used to protect the site and it should likewise be covered with a sun block when out in the sun.

Smaller tattoos require fewer pulses while larger ones require more.in either case, the tattoo requires several treatments and multiple visits.at each treatment, the tattoo should become progressively lighter.

Nice pics.the treatment itself consists of placing a hand piece against the surface of the skin and activating the laser light.as many patients describe it, each pulse feels like a grease splatter or the snapping of a rubber band against the skin.
