They should of had a porn star like Janine Lindemulder be the celebrity judge instead of Dave Navarro. At least she has real nice work, and she's easy on the eyes.Dave looked like he had one to many face lifts. I feel sorry for the people who picked b-tat,and Al Fliction to do their cover-ups.I wonder if they offer those people free laser sessions after the show.

Welcome Delaura...Good to hear you got your first tattoo from an excellent tattooer like Sean.I would have saved myself from getting some tattoos lasered if i would have started collecting later on in life.

Just the artist interviews are worth some cash.I figure i spent a lot of money on stupid shit, why not support a positive site like this.

Save your arm's and chest for japanese work, and your legs for whatever else you wan't to get.On one of my arms i have traditional work, and two black & grey portrait's,and it looks fine, but i think japanese work looks best on it's own.

"Tattoo what you want", misleading or true?
Joe Shit replied to Lochlan's topic in General Tattoo Discussion
You know your right.I'm really not into skulls,or dragons,so i guess i was lying to myself saying i would have a world renowned artist do anything they wanted.I would probably be less particular in the design. -
Don't change the location because of me.Sometimes i wish i could just go into a bar and have a few drinks and not take it to another level.
-
I didn't make it because i'm not a drinker.Been sober for some years, and don't feel comfortable hanging out in that kind of setting.

Religious tattoos...on the non-religious
Joe Shit replied to slayer9019's topic in General Tattoo Discussion
I still want to get a St.Francis too.I just cant think of a better image than him in the garden with all the animals. And the fact that he was a real person, and not someone made up. -
Religious tattoos...on the non-religious

I'm reading another good book called ''Discover the Power Within You''by Eric Butterworth.I just find myself believing more about buddhism, then Christianity. It seems like Catholic church just wants your money, and they tell you your going to hell if you don't act a certain way.I think their full of shit. They still send my grandmother envelopes for donations, and she hasn't gone to church in years. My tattoos aren't bad,but it seems like my beliefs have changed, and might as well change the tattoos. -
I met Chris Garver when he was at Fun City. His work was excellent back then, but he wasn't well known to the masses.I walked into the shop one day,and it was just him in there.I wanted to get a cover-up from him,but wasn't into his idea,so i left.It sounds like you have a beef with Tim.I would be disappointed too, especially if he cancelled twice on me.I wanted to check out the shop he works at in NYC,so i went there a few weeks ago,and he was working. You can probably get in with him easier now,but will probably have to pay a lot more to.

Religious tattoos...on the non-religious
Joe Shit replied to slayer9019's topic in General Tattoo Discussion
I have a Christ Head, and a Mary tattoo i got around 10yrs.ago.But my belief's have changed somewhat.I just don't believe in a God that's in a place called Heaven.Or that there was a lady who gave birth to a son without sex.I heard somewhere that Christianity was a made up religion;and I'm starting to agree with that. After reading books like The Power of Now,and A New Earth, and some other spiritual books,i just don't know what to believe anymore. Now i wan't to get these tattoos lazered, and start over with some eastern religious imagery. -

I've never said just do what you wan't.I always give an idea, then let them run with it.I guess the only time i may just say do what you wan't,is if i was getting tattooed by a world famous tattooer like Filip Leu. -

Did Lance use to work in Orlando?I remember talking with this tattooer, and him mentioning Lance. This was probably over 10yrs. ago. What's the name of the shop he's working at now;If i ever make it to Hawaii,i would like to visit him.
-
Also i like to mention Bill Claydon. He hasn't been tattooing as long as some of these old timers, but he's been at it since 1961.I visited his shop many years ago,and he was a real nice guy.His tattooing is real solid too.He still tattoos by appointment only. Here's a little interview i found on him. I bought this book- Amazon.com: New York City Tattoo: The Oral History of an Urban Art (9780945367208): Michael McCabe, Hubert, Jr. Selby: Books and went to some of the shops and had them sign it.I had to take a subway, and a bus,to get to Polito's shop. Also went to Pete Giaquinto's shop in Queens. Here's a pic of Pete. Tattoos By Casey Another guy who's been tattooing in Brooklyn for many years is Stevetattoos.com I believe he works with Polito a few day's a week. Ronnie Dell'Aquila is another legend who still tattoos in Allentown.
