How about just getting a girl head with some type of army fatigue and the words fortune is in my favor in a banner.As far as shops in Monterey,the only one i know of is Gold Coast Tattoo Mike,Chris& Dave,are pretty good.It all depends on what style you wan't the tattoo to be in.Do you like traditional work,or do you wan't it to be in black & grey,and more realistic.I would also recommend making the drive up to Santa Cruz where there's some better shops to check out. I knew of most of the shop's just from seeing their work on myspace,or in the magazines. I also do a google search just to see what comes up.Also you can look at yelp.com they have a list of shops in most major cities.You can also find alot of artists sites on tattoo convention websites.And i also talk to people who have tattoos and find out about new artists like that.

I was in AZ a few years ago and checked out his shop.Nice traditional shop with alot of good flash on the walls. Was also impressed with this young tattooer at Urban Art in Mesa. I met this girl in NYC a few weeks ago who had a nice chestpiece from Rick Lohm.She said she was getting tattooed by Brad Steven's@ Daredevil Tattoo Who's also from Syracuse,and does clean work. -

I think he got a dragon,or a koi fish..I just couldn't believe he actually wen't on a show and admitted that.His fiancee caught him looking at porn on the internet,and she said she wouldn't marry him unless he stopped.He said he called his priest up,and he gave him a number to a therapist that helped him stop. I like to see the tattoo he get's when she catches him watching porn again and divorces him.

I met him at Fun City when Garver was there.He wasn't the easiest guy to talk to.I thought his name was much bigger than his work.Never did like his tattoos. That shop was a dump when he owned it.It looks so much nicer now.I did meet Garver there,and was gonna get a cover-up from him,but he wanted to do a foo dog,and i didn't want that.His work was excellent back then too.

I watch these shows too..I like to see good tattooing done without all the drama.But drama seems to sell.The last few seasons of LA Ink was terrible.So much bullshit drama,it just turns you off.Miami Ink was much better.I was on Ami James website a few days ago reading about the new show for NYC,and he say's they start shooting in March.I wouldn't get tattooed on a show like that.First of all,the price's must be outrageous,and i don't wan't to come up with a story to tell,just to get a tattoo.I was watching a repeat of Miami Ink a few months ago,and a dude was on the show getting a tattoo because he overcame an addiction to porn. I enjoyed the tattoo wars series..The best shows on tattooing..Not enough drama to sell though.

I got my first tattoo when i was 23,and it was a heart with Mom inside.I got it because i love my Mom,but also because she told me if i didn't go to rehab,she would throw me out of the house.I never thought of getting a tattoo before,but in rehab,my roomate was in the special forces,and he had all these cool tattoos.So when i got home,i wen't to the local biker/tattoo shop and got me a Mom Tattoo.My Mother didn't really care much..But she's one of the reasons why i don't smoke PCP anymore.

I'm OCD when it comes to business cards.I used to have hundreds from going to conventions,and shops.I carry a wallet just for business cards,so when i meet someone,and were talking about tattoos,i pull out my thick wallet full of cards,and give them a few..And when i go to a shop,i like to grab like 10 cards,so i can have reserves.
