I would get there between 2:30-3:00.Sometimes people get there even earlier just to be first in line..The shop's closed on Tuesday,& Friday.

I got tattooed at Mike Perfetto's shop over 10yrs ago,and the tattoo looks fairly new.He did a blue koi on my leg.I just was at his shop a few months ago to grab some business cards.That shop is like a hidden gem.

You can also call some shops in LA and ask for a referral.I have heard about Dr. TATTOFF Tattoo Removal & Hair Removal. 100000 Procedures Performed and Skin Laser Center - Los Angeles, CA Tattoo Removal Specialist but don't know anyone who wen't there. -
They do some nice work..I wen't to The Dutchman's new shop when i was there..It was just opening..And visited Sacred Heart,and looked through Steve Moore's portfolio.Some of the most dynamic work I've ever seen.

He Ian,from personal experience i would try to find a tattooer that is trained with laser removal,rather then a Doctor.I wen't to a Doctor in MD like 10yrs.ago for my first laser session,and he charged me 450.00 for a piece on the back of my forearm.The clinics wan't you to make like 8 appointments so they can gradually lighten the area.The last two times i wen't to a tattooer to get lasered,and it was a better,more affordable experience. Karl@ Jinx Proof was the last guy i got lasered by.He does travel to conventions.He's a member on this site,so maybe you can get some more info from him. -
I heard the same thing from this girl i met at a convention..She had most of her body done by James.All freehand japanese work..He's one of those low key tattooers that put's out some excellent work.

I would have mentioned before that i was having a consult with a few different artists,and i was going to make a decision afterward.I believe they both charge around the same per hour.The only thing i can think may be different is that tebori work is probably more time consuming than machine work.

Steve Byrne does some nice clean work.He was a guest artist at Daredevil Tattoo in NYC a few years ago.He's one tall dude.My friend was going to get tattooed by him,but didn't have enough cash.Did you ever see Jon Reed Tattooer He does real nice traditional work.I remember seeing his work in the magazines years ago.I believe he used to work in Rhode Island.

I just wen't to the Doctors to get a physical for work,and the guy saw my portrait of Gandhi,and he asked me where i got it done.Turns out his dog died and he want's to get a portrait of him.He actually did some research and found out about Bob Tyrrell.I told him yeah he's excellent,but there's plenty of capable tattooers around here that can also do a great job.

When i first started getting tattooed it was every month.Now it's about twice a year.I just haven't had the urge to get tattooed lately.
