A little twist on a classic. Picked from the incredibly twisted, but amazing, sketch book of Matt Kerley.

Nice collection, like that Abbot piece and the 3 kingdoms leg. I'm from the area, too

you got nothing to worry about - looks amazing

The feet did suck, but don't psych yourself out and you'll be fine. For healing, if I was just going to be around the house then I didn't put anything on it - just cleaned it every 3 or 4 hours and kept it dry. If I needed to go out and wear socks and shoes, etc., I re-wrapped it with a breathable bandage and then did an ankle wrap with gauze tape under the sock. Keeps the swelling down and everything clean. Healed fine and still look as good as the day I got them. Of all my tattoos, they always get the most compliments (when they're exposed).

Tattoo silhouette and negative space

don't sweat it too much. You've been to some great artists, and gotten some great tattoos. At your next appointment with Dobleman, bounce your ideas off him. Any artist of his caliber can do a lot with all the space you have, or any other weird space for that matter. Also, welcome. -
Yea, Anonymous has been on my radar for a while now. Need to get out there one day cause, like you said, that shop has a ton of talent.

damn, quite the collection. Welcome.

welcome. Love Zack's work, always so good. And Dean's, too

@SeeSea I saw that on IG and absolutely loved the all the elements of it. The shrimp sushi is awesome.

I've used it to heal one tattoo in the past. I don't know if it made any difference in color retention or anything like that, but it definitely took the hassle out of worrying about cleaning/protection/etc. I don't think any additional wraps are required as it acts as a second skin type of bandage - just my opinion - I'll let you research it further and do what you're most comfortable with.

looks most excellent - you've been on quite the splurge lately

Thanks! He is a super cool dude, and his artwork is so dark and unique. His sketchbook (which is where I picked this piece from) is full of wild and crazy stuff. Can't wait to get more. You def need to visit Hot Stuff, one of my favorite shops - full of top notch artists.

Tattoo silhouette and negative space

this is one of my favorite threads here, too. I have one empty leg and one that is peppered with one shots here and there. Cohesive style was never a priority for my legs. The only consistent thing I want out of it is the quality. There are too many awesome artists and their personal styles for me to want to stick with anyone thing. So, I've got japanese stuff sitting next to simpsons stuff, black & grey sitting right next to color, etc. I kind of like the look and never really have to stress too much about having colors or styles match up. Now, to figure out if I want to sleeve out the bare leg or start doing one shots on that, too.... -
Awesome, those look good - nice and solid. The most susceptible time for a tattoo to lose color is how they are treated during that first 48 - 72 hours. And then during the peeling phase, things like chlorine and sun damage can really alter their appearance too. Since you said the healed one is about 5 weeks, that one is good to go I'd say. Just good sunscreen should do the job. We, here, just like to be extra cautious during that fresh stage. Forearms are pretty quick and easy to heal, so 2 months and they should be bulletproof with some sunscreen. I would cover them from the sun in the time being though. Once done peeling, it does take a little time for the new skin to reform and for the ink to "settle". From there, sun exposure only adds character to them. You won't need to worry about babying em unless you want to.

Welcome! Just to echo everyone else, give it a solid month or two before doing that stuff. It's only temporary and it'll be worth it. You're tattoos are forever. And nice work, btw. It does take about 3-6 months for them to completely settle in, some might say more.

Looking to get my first tattoo(s) - Traditional
sighthound replied to dudebraj's topic in Initiation
Man, Richmond is a mecca for tattoo work. Definitely check out Absolute Art - and Brian can do it all (traditional/Japanese/etc.). Anyone at that shop is killer though. Kirk Jones does some really awesome stuff and his style is reminds me of Ron Henry Wells (especially those clipper ships), who is based on the east coast here. I think New England area. That would be a much easier travel spot for you. https://instagram.com/the_hyena/?hl=en -
Very cool. That's a new angle to see it all from, and the composition of it all looks pretty sweet. Who's the next hero? And it would be pretty badass if you do a villain sleeve on the other arm.

Freshly done by Matt Kerley - Hot Stuff Tattoo

@MarvelAvengers Man, I love the 'straight outta the comic book look' that has. Nailed that Spidey. The soft background is really killer, too

Fat people with tattoos: Your thoughts
sighthound replied to Delicious's topic in General Tattoo Discussion
True, but @Eevee just said she's going in for work on both her feet. That's no walk in the park either! -
You'll be fine. A few months? Unless you're going from snoop dogg to ronny coleman in a few months, you have nothing to worry about. You won't be making any long lasting changes to your physique in just a few months. And once you take a break from the gym, your body will shrink back down pretty quickly.

@marley mission wow that is exceptional, one of my new favorite morphs to date.

The same would show up in a physical description. I would expect the same in a psychological one. If it didn't, I'd call it an incomplete profile.
