I think I'm being misunderstood.. I'm not the client that demands anything.. I bring ray an image or idea, tell him what I like and ALWAYS say 'you have full artistic liberty' I say that because like said, he has made tattooing his craft not me. If I came in and had no idea what I wanted, what style I wanted and no idea where I wanted I would be told to reconsider getting tattooed.. Not cool to expect ppl to be educated but not have opinions..

I don't think a customer should demand anything, but I suspect the artist would appreciate a customer that is more decisive about what they want.. If people can't gain knowledge by reading online then sites like this one wouldn't continue to exist. Guess once again I respectfully agree to disagree.

Why? It's their money and it will be on their body forever. Asking for a specific tattoo to be done in a particular style or technique, to means the customer has some research at the very least.. Right? Help me out here, what am I missing? Personally I take an example if what I want, tell him what I want, how I want it to look and where I want it and he makes it happen.. Again, am I missing something here? Is there some kinda unwritten code where I gotta take whatever the artist wants to give me if I have no tattoos? :confused:

My artist always does his set up in front of me.. Ive never asked him to, he just does. I've no interest in becoming a tattoo artist so I don't ask questions that might be invasive towards trade secrets. Several times he tattoos my wife and I in the same day and he resets up everything. I've never been concerned with cleanliness where I go, but I do appreciate the transparency of the process and I think it's interesting to watch him tune(my term, could be wrong?) the machines. I'm a real mechanical person.

Both times I've read it I've read it between books 4 and 5' date=' I would say read it there. Even King says in the forward to shelve it here, which for me implies to read it there as well.

Stupid. The solution is simple though, hit DC where it hurts, the wallet. Artists should move out of the district and into Virginia and Maryland. Ridiculous and unconstitutional gun laws in some states have had this effect as well, gun makers a hitting back by moving shop. Ruger is moving to NC. It's sad that moving shop is how businesses have to hit back but sadly dollars and cents is all some ppl understand. What's even more sad is this is likely the goal in this situation.

The newest book, 'wind through the keyhole' falls between books 4 and 5. The only problem with reading it there is there are no references to the events of that book in the remainder of the series.
