I have a fair sized black and gray tattoo on my forearm that surrounded by color tattoos, like stated above, with all the black involved it's not an issue at all.

The shop I frequent did the last one but not this one.

Lol seriously? Most shops I see doing adds for Friday the 13th tattoos are charging more then $13, and even the ones that aren't are not offering a whole lot of tattoo at all. This clearly a novelty thing, the ppl I see getting them are mostly already tattooed by the shops they are going to to for them anyways. I seriously don't see anything wrong with what's clearly a tradition in the tattooing community. The flash selection is usually small, simple and unchangeable. The shops are choosing the flash, they're setting the prices and it's not just a bunch of hacks. Highly reputable shops do this when the day and dates align.. I seriously don't see any issue here..............

Have you ever seen them live? I saw them in the late 90's or early 2000's with God Smack.. For me it was just one of those shows I had to see simply because I may never get another chance.. I'd say go if you've never seen them for sure.. If you've seen them, I'd prolly let it pass. I won't make any real effort to see them again unless tix are free or something.

A little Christmas metal..

Mom, she doesn't care for them at all but doesn't get pushy at all. We work together now so occasionally discuss tattoos I like. I make no attempt to cover around her and my step dad at all, even at work. My step dad is always amazed when I get a tattoo, not in a bad way but you can smell the brain cells burning trying wrap his mind around them and the size. Dad, we've never really spoken of mine. Even while is was there over thanksgiving. I know he's seen them(some of them), but never brings it up. He leans a little toward liberal and his main concern is that my family and I are healthy and gainfully employed. I've not given a shit what anyone thinks in a long time, I don't ask for permission or acceptance for anything, but if I know someone doesn't care for or about tattoos I don't flaunt or rub their face in them. It's respect IMO and it goes both ways.

As of last Sunday I am a fan of American alligator. Do you have any tattoos yet? Pics?

Cost questions.. Not cheap. Meaning.. Depends who's asking. Strangers get the standard anchors generally mean this or that.. Etc My answers have evolved if you will as I get more tattoos. My left arm is home to all my tattoos(wrist to shoulder) and I can say that the more covered the arm becomes the questions have tapered off drastically, now it's generally just stares. Either way, doesn't matter to me really. I usually refer ppl to here to learn or to visit as many shops as they can before getting tattooed. Ppl spend months looking at cars they keep for 5 years but won't spend a week or two or a month or year on researching for something that will last longer than they will.. The light doesn't always come on though.

Ever since the beginning of mankind ppl have plunged head long into the unknown. I'm sure countless sailors met watery graves perfecting boats, same with airplanes and cars, not to mention discovering new lands. To relate this somewhat to tattooing, I'm sure even the greatest tattooers, painters and artists did bad work before finally getting it right. These things are not 'life and death' if you will but no great things come without great mistakes. Again, I won't be applying for this, I have a great life including a beautiful wife and daughter, a great family and decent job, but the idea that we(the human race) is about embark on expanding life if exciting to me. :shrug:
