Tesseracts reacted to Stewart Robson in Obscene Tattoos
Yeah, Woody does tattoos, but he's more of a cartoonist. The interviewer isn't the only twat in the frame.
So a famously publicity hungry tattooer, who's notoriously fond of gimmicks invests in a super-deluxe tattoo removal lazer. Because he had virtually no tattoos already, he tattoos deliberately inflammatory statements on himself then does a photo shoot and speaks to every interviewer who'll listen.
No prizes for guessing what publicity grabbing event happens next...
Yeah, this is the same tattooer who called a client and offered to tattoo the Jacko arrest photo with the words "Peado Cunt" FOR FREE.
Although the client was a fool to accept the offer, he was a young student with little money who liked tattoos. Who, in that situation would refuse a funny, free tattoo? That client has since had a massive coverup of a traditional eagle.
Woody also tattoos drunk metalheads for free at the UK Download festival.
I'm a tattooer. Woody does tattoos.
We are not doing the same thing. Irresponsible is the kindest thing I can say about his work and work ethic.

*shakes head*
ps. i should really expand on my reaction as in i have nothing to say about his tattooing and his persona that could really describe how it all makes me feel. dispair is one of them. the less publicity that shit gets the better

Tesseracts got a reaction from Fala in Dropping the Bomb, how your parents found out about your first tattoo!
My mother thinks my tattoo is great. My father think my tattoo is better than most tattoos, but he dislikes tattoos in general unless they are really simple and have no color, so that's the best I can get from him. He wasn't happy that I spent so much on it, but I used money I earned myself so it doesn't matter.

3.5 hours last night. One more short session to finish, but I plan on expanding it so who knows how long it will take to be completely done.
My mom took me last night b/c my husband was on duty for a summer "fest" our little town started putting on...this year Florida Georgia Line is here so last night there were over 16,000 people out at the fields...our town is maybe 5,000 population.
Mom seemed pretty fascinated by the whole process, and really enjoyed visiting w/the artist. I'm quite certain she didn't expect the shop to be as nice as it is, and didn't expect the artist to be as friendly and talkative as he is. Not sure I can ever get it into her head to get a tattoo but it would be cool...maybe when I get my tree frog reworked she'll be more on board w/it.

Find good reference and use it a lot. Don't worry so much about creating something that is "yours" as reproducing quality imagery. Don't listen to the folks who praise you. If someone says something isn't good see if they will tell you why. Good luck.

Tesseracts reacted to Pugilist in Fat people with tattoos: Your thoughts
I've lost and gained a bunch of weight with tattoos. Shit doesn't change as much as you think. I mean your skin is going to change throughout your life anyway, and the tattoos will never stay perfect and fresh. I have not found weight loss or gain to accelerate that process very much.

I did! Kind of. I made it to Three Tides in Tokyo where I had a wonder experience all around and ended up with a nice little dragon head by Ganji.

Tesseracts got a reaction from bongsau in Laser hair removal BEFORE tattoos....any issue later?
My issue with laser hair removal is, no matter how many times I do it, it doesn't seem to work at all. Even people who get results usually have to do it for years.

Tesseracts got a reaction from keepcalm in Telling My Parents
My father described my tattoo as "kickass" which surprised me because he was against it before. He's not the type to lie to make me feel better so he must have genuinely changed his mind. :D

When did "selfish" become the new catchcry for living your life how you choose and doing things you love?
I'm apparently very selfish for choosing not to have children and spending all my money on me, and was also labelled selfish when I had my motorbike too (OMG you'll fall off and DIE! So selfish!)
People need to live and let live, and mind their own damn business.

Well this has been a great experience! When I contacted SOG in March, I emailed some ideas/elements I wanted to incorporate along with a photo of my black cat and my leg. I referenced a couple of elements from his book like the cat's expression on one page, the skinny snake from another page, and peonies. When I got there today I finally saw his drawing and it was just perfect immediately! Love at first sight. He used machines only which was fine by me. I love the way the cat and snake seem to be eyeing each other suspiciously with narrowed eyes... And here I am on the hotel bed with my feet kicked up watching ET. Stella is beside me wearing her new monmon cat (t-shirt) nightgown.

Tesseracts reacted to renarde in hello there
Delighted to have found this place thanks to my friend, growltiger. I'm about to get my first large scale tattoo, a part back/shoulder/upper arm piece from a great woman called Delphine noiztoy in London (England). As yet to be designed, but hopefully incorporating some art noveau style and some geometric... Plus a small forearm piece (flowers) from Rebecca Vincent.
I see merit and beauty in all styles, but personally am drawn to blackwork and dotwork.
I'm looking forward to spending time here getting useful advice and lusting after everyone else's ink. So, hi!

Tesseracts reacted to Dog Bite in Our bad tattoos
I think from now on, whenever I get a tattoo, I'm just gonna come read this thread again. Not that I expect all of mine from here out to be "better than yours", just to remind myself that even if some are bad, I'm hardly alone on that front. ;)
EDIT: Yikes, that sounds kinda bad. Hopefully nobody took that the wrong way. I seem to be having a hard time putting thoughts together coherently tonight. All I was trying to say, is that it's nice to know I'm not the only one with less than perfect tattoos.

Anyone have or know where to find kitsune flash to help solidify an idea. Most of what I have found isn't exactly my taste or very small.
I really enjoyed the lore read links, thank you @Tesseracts

These are really nice figures and everything, but I don't understand why artists have to talk like this.
???????????????Anyway... this reminds me of a Barbie that actually has really cool tattoos. Oh, no! Barbie has a life! - Alysha
