that's for sure some pretty bad line work, first thing to do is to NOT go back to that tattooer , it is kind of strange,it doesn't really look like blowout,it looks like bad line work, but it didn't seem as bad in the "before" shot, but then it's a different POV that could be fixed or covered up by a better artist that knows what they are doing. sorry to be so blunt,but...

welcome ! sit and stay a while.

this is not really the place to do school projects . go get your first tattoo and then you will have an experience to take the survey about. there are probably other online discussion forums better suited for your survey.

LOL sorry but that sounded just like a politician answering a direct question without answering the question ! just a funny observation,no personal attack intended.

Professional Reputation in the age of the Internet
Dan replied to Charles.M's topic in General Tattoo Discussion
this /\ ,,, personally I see a post that long and there is no way I will read it,I just pass it by. @Charles.M maybe a personal blog would be a better place for you and your thoughts. -
I agree, some people here tend to get bent out of shape if somebody asks a question that has been asked before, well if it was asked a year or 2 ago, then things change in the world,so new POVs and opinions and products or styles ,etc, etc,is it really an issue ? the mods here do a great job and unless they do something then great,if not then apparently the issue was no big deal, and multiple questions and new threads on topics that have been asked before,SO WHAT ! if there is a violation of rules then the mods are on it. and BTW,google chrome does a great job of spell check as I type.(that is if I have my glasses on and I am paying attention LOL )

welcome ! and WOW ! those two ideas "photography & the Navy" are way cool, that brings to mind so many ideas & possibilities of great tattoo art ! the right artist could do so much with those two ideas !

The Definitive American Tradtitional Tattoo Thread
Dan replied to otisc's topic in General Tattoo Discussion
under saniderm, here is my latest AM/TR,it's on my upper thigh about 9x8",it was done by Oliver Peck 10/22/16 -
the peeling is normal but the ink fall out not so much, and I don't think it's a matter of hand or wrist skin,IMO it's more the tattooer's application of the ink in our skin. I have both my hands done and yes they peel like any other tattoo, but there is no fallout of ink at all on either hand. hand tattoos can possibly fall out close to the sides by the palm or knuckles, maybe. here is my hand tattooed in Feb/2016 never touched up,shot tonight here is my other hand tattooed in Aug/2016 never touched up,shot tonight

you are lucky ! :) although I will say that years ago I used to scab badly, especially with red & blue ink,but the quality of inks has gotten better since the 80's and my knowledge of proper healing techniques have also improved ! LOL -
here is the pic of her I want done

@oboogie pretty nice ! I love that style it was done in. I am working on an appointment to get a realistic tattoo of my dog from Roman Abrego,I met with him and showed him a pic last weekend at a tattoo show here in Sacramento and he is interested in doing it.

Tattoo of the Month starting November 1st
Dan replied to Iwar's topic in LST Announcements & Contests
nice to see such a positive attitude towards this ! way to go ! -
I spoke with Roman Abrego at the show yesterday about a portrait of my dog,I showed him the picture I want done and he loved the idea and wants to schedule me for it,but with the detail and size we talked about it's going to be about 10 hours so I will drive down to his shop in so cal. He is a really nice guy too. it will be of this pic.

well,I have to say that when my wife and myself got tattooed by Oliver Peck last February , my wife and myself agreed beforehand to not discuss ink masters at all with him,we figured he gets it all the time and we didn't want to do that to him,Oliver and myself talked a lot about general bullshit the whole time though, just not his celebrity or the show, and when we get tattooed next weekend by him,it will be the same thing. I do like to talk during a tattoo,it helps take my mind off the pain.
