  1. Damn....you all did it up! I was in Philly getting tattooed on Friday and then Brooklyn, NY on Saturday to get tattooed.....it's nice to see others out on the road getting excellent stuff from great artists too! April seriously was a really good month for a lot of LST members!!! **** that "dick" I posted was an old tattoo i got last month.....it's all i had on the computer to post....ha ha ha!
  2. Sweet!!! I gotta get to Chicago sometime soon!!!
  3. Yeah.....what people pay is their business! I have put out some serious money to add some quality pieces over the years and I have never thought twice about it if it was an artist I really wanted something from! If I feel it's not worth it to me to pay what someone has quoted me then I just don't get tattooed by that person.....and that has only happened one time so far! I never tell someone what I have paid for a tattoo......it's really none of their business and I think it is honestly rude to ask someone!
  4. Here are two living legends that i know have already been mentioned but I got to hang with them both this past weekend and had such and awesome time! Mr. Tony Polito....who showed up to surprise me....and in the background you can see Mr. Mike Perfetto tattooing! Sorry....I look like crap....mostly because I had already been tattooed earlier in the day by Steve Delgatto...ha ha ha!
  5. I picked up three more tattoos this weekend! Got tattooed by Topper @ Philadelphia Eddie's on Friday then headed to Brooklyn, NY and got tattooed by Steve Delgatto & Mike Perfetto on Saturday.......I'll get some photos up of the tattoos when I get some good ones! I also had a surprise visit at Mike Perfetto's shop by Tony Polito.....Tony and another one of Mike's customers literally had shirts coming off so they could show me tattoos on each of them from Coney Island Freddie & Brooklyn Blackie! Needless to say i had one of the best weekends I have had in a very long time.....It would take something incredible to top this weekend!!!
  6. I am gonna be in Brooklyn tomorrow getting tattooed by Steve Delgattoo at noon.....and then heading right over to Mike Perfetto's shop to wait in line to be tattooed! If anyone is gonna be in the area tomorrow then drop on by and say HI!!! After I get tattooed by mike I am not sure what we are gonna do to be honest....probably head back down 95 toward Baltimore! Later today i am gonna be in Philly getting a little banger from Topper....then driving up to outside NYC somewhere to visit a girlfriend tonight and find a diner to chill at....lmao!
  7. Jen posted up about two weeks ago they were gonna be at Aaron's shop! Here's the thread and I am sure if you post in the thread or message her on here she will get back to you! :) Or just call Aaron's shop http://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/tattoo-shop-openings-guest-spots/1309-stell-spotin-page5.html
  8. He did the entire top of my Hubby's lower arm in 3.5 hours.....in two hours he could kick out a really awesome tattoo! Your call.....but if I personally had that chance....I would take it! It's worth whatever you are willing to pay for it! :)
  9. thanks for the tips....yeah i heard you should get there ahead of time at Mike's shop to get on the list....and to be there when your name is called or you loose your spot....lol!
  10. So.....my getting tattooed by Topper at Philadelphia Eddie's on Friday evening has now turned into a tattoo road trip of sorts! Instead of riding back down to Baltimore on Friday night we are going to head north to Brooklyn, NY and I am going to try to pick up a tattoo from Mike Perfetto on Saturday.....and if I can maybe something from Steve Delgatto as well if he is going to be around town! Whew.......it will be a nice hat-trick if I can pull it off!
  11. The book is worth the money.....and grime is very fast.....he finished the tiger on my hubby's arm in about 3 hours(larger tattoo...covers the top of his forarm and wraps around both sides)....the tiger tattoo is in his book if you want to see it! I have been tattooed by Scott Sylvia and don't believe what anyone says about him....he's a great guy.....lol....and i highly suggest you get something from him as well as all the other artists listed so far if you can! Like I said......so many options in that area.....it would probably make my head explode if I had to just choose one person!
  12. If you call Skull & Sword and tell them when you are coming....the worst they can do is say Grime is booked up! I have heard of people walking in though and getting tattooed there....probably all the planets aligned or something BUT if I were you I would call and ask! You may be asked for a deposit though but it will definitely be worth the money! And if he can't....there are a ton of great tattooers in the area! Good Luck!
  13. I am heading to Philly this friday to get a little banger from Topper! I am tempted to spend the night and head to Brooklyn on Saturday and try to get tattooed by Mike Perfetto......not sure about that one though! :)
  14. Nice photo of you doll! xoxo
  15. yup.....at Royal Peacock Tattoo Parlor And his son Shane owns Santa Fe Tattoo Parlor in Beaumont, TX
  16. I also was thinking....someone mentioned the West Coast.....again....drag racing! Could they have adapted advances in automotive electronics on tattoo machines???
  17. Could the fact that Dennis also liked to tinker with drag racing (engines, ect) have anything to do with him tinkering with the electronics of the tattoo machine? I only mention this because I know dennis messed around with automotive engines and LOVED to drag race his car and the there was a mention of capacitors being used in gasoline engine electronics!
  18. Have you tried to shoot them from street level? The building across the street is an office building......I would be surprised if they wouldn't let you in there to shoot across the street.....and i am pretty sure there is a balcony or open area deck on the first floor of that building where people go to smoke....I think remember seeing people across the street from us out there in that building when i was in the front room with Dennis!
  19. Hey doll.....welcome to the forum! You have the unique opportunity that most 19 year-old's don't seem to have.....you have stumbled onto a forum with people who can guide you in the right directions.....IF you let them! I was very fortunate to have good friends, in the craft of tattooing, who guided me and when I started getting tattooed and it's why I have been blessed with the collection I have.......soak it all in and please ask people, as you have done, and you will have a canvas of beautiful work on you!
  20. Yup :) I am pretty sure she told me she has never been tattooed!
  21. I guess we will all watch to see how my thumbs age over the years.....ha ha ha! (not done by Grillo....but similar type work) I work with my hands and I just have a feeling they will hold up better than most people think but then I take better care of my tattoos than the general population does too!
  22. Yup....this looks like a familiar subject! I do know a woman here in baltimore who is now the owner of the oldest two shops in maryland (one being the 2nd oldest shop still operating in the country) and I don't believe she has any tattoos. She learned the craft from her husband and is a decent tattooer. I know she cares very deeply for the craft and has put in her time and is VERY traditional in her views on the craft! My hubby has been tattooed by her and I probably will at some point....there may be a few exceptions but I can't say there are too many! I would prefer someone at least have sat in the same chair that i have sat in....and gone through the same thing if they are going to tattoo me!
  23. Yes.....Norm was at Skull & Sword with Grime.....and he has been blowing across hands like that for a little while now....some really sick shit lately!
