Latest tattoo lowdown.....
Bunny Switchblade replied to Lochlan's topic in General Tattoo Discussion
I got a little Bert Grimm anchor tattooed on me today by John Black at the Baltimore Convention! I'm glad I sacked up and went after all....because I had a great time sitting down with John and heard a lot of awesome stories! Word is that he isn't gonna be doing it too much longer! -
And this is one of the only reasons I went to the Philly Convention this year! There were a few artists there i wanted to be tattooed by....unfortunately it was so large that there were actually people there I would have also liked to have picked something up from that I didn't even know were there....lmao! Maybe it is just that there is no one at the Baltimore convention i am stoked on being tattooed by.....maybe it is because I have gotten a taste again of traveling to people shops and have been having such an awesome time doing that....or maybe it's just because the whole climate of conventions has changed over the last 5-7 years since the "Ink" TV shows have been on!

On my way back down to Philly from Brooklyn two weeks ago we hit a rest area on the NJ turnpike! The only people who said anything to me and didn't look at me like I was from outer space were a group of Nuns....they all smiled and said hello and even held the door open for me as I was leaving! :) I always remember.....I made a conscious decision to be the way I am fully knowing that society tends to not be very accepting of people who choose to be or are different! It's sad and unfortunate that this is how society is.....but I made the decisions and I have no problem living with the complications (and there have been many) of my decision! Just smile at society......it scares them! ;) Society has come along way in the close to 30 years I have been a tattooed person! It will eventually get there one day....and hopefully i will live long to see it! I actually enjoyed things the way they were back about 20 years ago when next to no one had visible tattoos other than me and a friend or two! People treated me different.....but then....I am different! :)

I am writing because the Baltimore Convention is this weekend and I am really not excited about it in the least! I will probably go tomorrow night for about 2 hours just to say hi to people only because it is my hometown convention and I want to see if there is any decent art I can pick up but like I said....not excited about the convention....only about seeing a few people I don't see too often! Now...Troy runs some really good shows so that's not it....and I was stoked about Philly because there were a few people there I wanted to get tattooed by.....BUT I used to want to go see my friends at shows....say hi.....buy some flash or art....and then hang out even if I didn't get tattooed! Now it seems....for me at least....the vibe is different and I am not as stoked about going! I find myself more interested in wanting to travel to people's shops to be tattooed anymore....that just seems to have a cooler vibe for me! I was just wondering what is everyone's thought on this was? (artist or enthusiast)

Most painful spot to get tattooed
Bunny Switchblade replied to Lochlan's topic in General Tattoo Discussion
It is not fun in any way......not gonna lie.....i definitely shed some tears! i have never tapped out though and it was close to 2.5 hours straight tattooing! Weird thing was that once the needle was out....i was totally fine! I think we have a little over an hour left! A pretty girl holding your hand and wiping your tears helps.....ha ha ha ha ha! :)- 1,060 replies

Too funny....I got the same tattoo....only with war paint! It was hanging on some flash inside his little room and i loved it so i asked if I could get it! He had flash covering all the walls but i loved the sheet in his room this came off of! And that article it totally true to form.....I got there around 3pm and got tattooed about 10pm....ha ha ha.....I was number 6 on the list! Had time to leave and walk around Brooklyn and get some AWESOME pizza on 18th street! Talked to the other people waiting there pretty much all day to get tattooed....it was an awesome experience! Parking was easy as was getting there off the highway! Here's my tattoo....this is a cell pic of it fresh that night!

Stell Spot'in
Bunny Switchblade replied to Jennifer Stell's topic in Tattoo Shop Openings and/or Guest Spots
So Tulsa is the spot you two are going to settle down in and open the shop?? That's awesome doll.....congrats! You guys have worked hard and it will be awesome to see the success of it all pay off! :) -
I was really surprised how in shape he really is! He has to be at least 55-56 because the shop opened it's door in 1976! He told me that the BBC had just been there doing a TV taping because they had done some research and his shop had been open the longest out of all the remaining shops (either in Brooklyn or NYC)..... so he told them about Tony P. and he had Tony come in to talk with them.....and Mike wound up tattooing Tony during the taping for the show!

Nah....i am a pretty simple chic! I ran with the cool kids in High School which led me to becoming a drop out......not too cool huh? BUT....I am def not as cool as most of the people around here! I am just a very lucky lady (and please don't ever think I don't know it) to have met and been tattooed by some of the people I have been tattooed by AND I owe that to friends in the craft and people like you guys who point me in the right direction! I have a long list and I am doing my best to add those people before some of them stop tattooing! If anyone ever feels I am grandstanding, name dropping, or anything....then please message me and I will pull back....definitely not my intention! My appologies if that is the case! I just thought it would be cool to post a photo of Tony with Mike tattooing in the background was all! :)

I personally have considered being tattooed on my face and if and when I do finally run out of space I probably will get something! Maybe not as drastic as the girl had gotten in that thumbnail but something I consider tasteful! I get too much attention as it is so in my case at least it really has nothing to do with getting attention....lol
