  1. @Killercook76 Grez is doing it. Just sent you something on 'gram.
  2. Welp, as someone who just started a dragon and eagle sleeve, I can't back this idea enough! Haha. I'm doing monthly appointments, and I wish I'd set them every three weeks or so. I'm so impatient now.
  3. Mikey Holmes is awesome. A buddy of mine who tattoos me regularly worked the booth right next to him at Pagoda City and had nothing but great things to say about him.
  4. Richmond is dope. If you guys do a roadtrip/meet up, let me know. I'm having a baby in the spring, so life is going to get hectic, but I have off all summer, so I'm sure I could get away for a day or two. It'd be cool to see this with people that would really appreciate it.
  5. I've been seeing a lot about this on Instagram. I've gotta find an hour to check it out soon.
  6. I'm definitely going to try and check it out in Maryland and/or Richmond. I'm glad it made it to the east coast.
  7. As I said in another thread, I was in the shop today looking at some Lehi flash for a little filler. At one point, I pointed at one of the Lehi tiger heads from his 03 flash set and said, "Fuck it, I should probably just get that on my hand." Without missing a beat, my buddy says, "Everyone should get that on their hand." I didn't (stupid job). But I will get it somewhere.
  8. Popped into my buddy's local shop today (Keith Reed at X-Treme Ink) to take a look at a small filler spot on my leg. Picked out a little Lehi flash to throw in there in the very near future.
  9. Civ, Todd Noble, Mario Desa, and Nick Collela will also be there, among others.
  10. Awesome. Thanks, @BrianH and @Fala for those links. I know it's not a backpiece, but I may start the tattoo journal idea as I work through my arm. Neat idea.
  11. @CABS, that's an ambitious task. Those dudes can all get doooooown. You see Koeplinger's new instragram just for food? Him chillin with Ferran Adria? Incredible.
  12. I always wanna visit @CABS just for the food he's posting on 'gram.
  13. Nice. I'm down in Delaware County (right at the Montgomery County border), but my wife works up in Bucks. I was not on another tattoo board, nope.
  14. Wherever you have the links posted is blocked at work, but when I get home, I'd love to see the cat flying the plane. Haha. Nothing ever wrong with cattoos.
  15. Awesome. Can't wait to see it!
  16. Welcome. This other initiation thread has a lot of info on shops in LI or the greater NYC area. There are so many people and shops to check out. Once you hammer down an idea for an image, style, or something, people here may be able to guide you. http://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/initiation/6277-new-girl-ny-here.html
  17. Virginia Elwood's work is killer. Excited to see. Where in Pennsylvania, by the way?
  18. I'll just echo everything everyone said. Justin is a great choice for that, and every time I've met him there he's been the nicest dude imaginable. After finishing up my arm and having a baby, I think my tattoo budget will be pretty slim, but I'd love to get tattooed by him someday. I can't personally speak for the LI shop, but the shop guy at the NYC location is super helpful and would able to address your concerns up front. Just be honest and upfront with what you want and your expectations, then see how they line up with availability and interest of the artists. You won't be disappointed.
  19. This reminds me of a funny story that I forgot about until now. For a while, my wife only had a 3/4 sleeve on one arm. For a few years, she had been debating getting her other arm done. Despite the fact that her arm was beautiful and delicate and not overly tough, she was nervous that doing both would look masculine. I was talking about this with my buddy one day when we were walking around Manhattan, and we saw three or four really good looking women with two full sleeves. I joked that I was going to stop and take their pictures, but that it may come off as creepy. Ended up not doing it. Haha. Regardless, she got her second arm sleeved.
