@Gingerninja My knee is great. Right now, he just lined it, so not too bad. Minimal swelling and next to no impact on my day to day. Grez isn't the fastest, but those lights hands, man. For painful or sensitive spots, can't beat it.

@sophistre It should be noted that your back is coming out very freaking awesomely.

I'd be ok with fillers, as I think it's an interesting idea and lends itself to some cool fucking tattoos. But a broader topic may be a good way to start the new system. Either way, I'm glad the contest is back.

I have a very small XsXeX on my wrist. It was the first tattoo I got when I was 21, and not only is it a straight edge tattoo, it's a memorial for a friend who broke edge and bad things happened. My gallery also has a Minor Threat "Out of Step" tattoo. Not directly straight edge, I guess, but to me it is. Got it while I was 30 (XXX) years old.

Man, with the start of the school year, coaching xc, training for a marathon, and a million other things, I've been MIA for a bit. So many awesome tattoos in here. From the Noble frog and the Nava spider, to the awesome Japanese work from Brooks and a few others, I'm loving so much awesome stuff. That Chris Stuart chest eagle. That Koeplinger underarm blast. That firey girl head. Good lord. People are killing it. I haven't posted much in this thread in forever. In the last 15 months or so, I've gotten my knees done (well, the left is started) by Grez, as well as a few pieces on my thighs. Once I get that knee finished, I'm going to update the squidpants thread and throw some of them in here.

@Dan, I'm sure you posted it somewhere, but who did that rose? I love it. @PrivateAle, Fest 10 was a blast. The last one I went to!

Same as a few other people mention, I'm showing as username "Kill Uncle" on the front page, but myself everywhere else. This is with Chrome on a Mac. Didn't notice any issues on my iPad.

Good lord. Also, I forgot. I booked with Grez for October to do my other knee. Now to just figure out what to get.

@sophistre totally crushing it. Friday I went up to King's Ave and finished my tiger/rose morph on my knee. Right now it's impossible to get a good picture of, but I'll try to get one up soon. Also, when I was up in May, Grez showed me a ton of originals he has. He showed me this sheet of roses that Malone did for him, and he seemed bummed that he'd never done anything off of it. So I told him if we had time after he finished my knee, he could gladly give me one. So after he wrapped me up, he popped a quick little rose into a gap between the top of my sleeve and the swallow on my chest. Fits perfectly, and he seemed thrilled to do it. It's a tiny little tattoo, but I'm really thrilled with it. I may not post that publicly, but if anyone wants to see either of them, hit me up on IG (@andrew.f.white).

I think @Graemeraises a good point with timing and the ability to give out three votes (I like the 5, 3, 1 pt votes). Like @marley missionsaid, sometimes you vote like crazy and essentially it's not voting. I think the "large scale" vs. "one shot" idea is a good one, too.

@marley mission Honestly, Todd's pretty far down in DE (right across the DE/MD border). I got tattooed by him when I used to go to the shore at OCMD, and it was about three hours from Philly. It's about 5 to Boston. So yeah, farther, but you're also a little farther north, correct? Couldn't hurt looking into.

I think I have more roses than I can count. A few snakes. Amazingly, only one skull.

@omeletta One of my big regrets was not asking for a walk up from Yutaro while he was sort of just chilling and not tattooing at the Pagoda City convention last year. I was strapped on cash and had just gotten tattooed for about four hours, but still debated it...
