When I saw that on IG, I really debated hopping on a bus up and crashing on @huggernaut's couch. Turns out his manager at work took that spot! Bummed you had to cancel, but at least you'll get in at the end of the month!

I like the idea of that burpees challenge. I got into the best shape of my life in last 2012/early 2013 and was setting PRs at every distance from 5k to the marathon. Then I got stupid plantar fasciitis and have spent more time eating pizza than I should have...

To be honest, I'm not really a huge Kanye guy at all, but I kinda liked how Twisted Fantasty was just so over the top. Lots of crazy ass, huge songs and killer guest spots. To be honest, he was one of the weaker rappers on there. I'm not huge into hip hop, but that's not typically my style at all. I used to listen to Cannibal Ox when I went through a kinda underground hip hop phase in college, but I haven't listened to a lot of that in forever. I should dig out my old hard drive. And yeah, @DJDeepFried, I just saw that album was up for free. I grabbed it last night but haven't had time to listen yet.

I feel like every time I turn on the tv there's some new show and they are all fucking horrible. Best Ink, Tattoos After Dark, Black Ink Crew, that one with the two doofuses in Vegas...Say what you will about Ink Master, but at least there's a slight shred of credibility with Oliver, Nunez, and some killer judges.

@DJDeepFriend and @HaydenRose, I really wanted to like Yeezus, but just couldn't get into it. I love Twisted Fantasy and it still gets tons of play. I'll have to give Yeezus another shot. I also really need to check out this EL-P and Killer Mike record. Everyone I've heard mention it raves about it.

Slowly getting back into running after a foot injury has had me off it for months. I'm not horrrrribly out of shape, but nowhere where I want to be. It's been great to get back into running more regularly though!

Turns out I have something I have to do Friday night at home, so I'll be taking a bus up from Philly early on Saturday.

That's awesome! I feel like my next appointment with Grez is so far away (July). When I'm up at the Devita show in a few weeks, I'm going to try and get a few appointment on the books for early 2015 to start my left arm finally.

@MadeIndelible, I've been following him on Instagram for a while. It doesn't seem like he's apprenticing anymore based on comments, but I'm not totally sure.

His stuff is super bold and I like his lettering. Plus, he's always doing flash sheets based off bands I like. I don't think his shop is too far from me, so I'd like to get tattooed by him sometime.

All-time favorite is on a friend of mine, mostly because of how silly it is. What do gorillas think about? Bananas, duh. By Drew Rash. Additionally, here are three I've seen on Instagram recently that I've loved. Another Tim Hendricks. Squeezing a readable ROA on there blows my mind. Grez. Does it get better than classic roses on a hand? Grime. And to totally tweak out the classic rose, a rose skull morph.

I know it's not 2013, but tying into the idea of old classics... I saw an Operation Ivy cover band last night that was probably the best punk set I saw in 2013. Guys from a bunch of local classic hardcore bands (including Paint it Black) just killing it.

I say this all the time. I can get away with a lot of coverage because I wear a shirt and tie every day, but I would love to get my hands done someday. I always tell my wife that the day that I retire I'll be going to get my hands done. If PA teacher pension/retirement holds out for me, it should be in about 27 years. But who's counting?
