The "m" that I think of is munewari, but that's different from what you are asking. As far as I know, the edges are typically rounded off, or scalloped, for easier integration into a larger piece later on. I could be totally wrong about that though! Here's a google result from @Graeme's awesome research: http://books.google.com/books?id=yuMUAAAAIAAJ&pg=PA100&lpg=PA100&dq=botan+mikiri&source=bl&ots=Wt5Vpij1t2&sig=6GttzL7InkcSkj7X2Aomt83IWvU&hl=en&sa=X&ei=eCFXU-HeC4-_sQTpwoCYBw&ved=0CEMQ6AEwBw#v=onepage&q=botan%20mikiri&f=false

Are you talking about wind bars combined with water?

So sorry to hear about everything happening to you and your loved ones so close together @Colored Guy. Sending positive thoughts your way. -
If you decide to hire full time, and want a cheery EA/PA who works hard, gimme a holler! ;) And, CONGRATULATIONS on starting your own business!!!!
-
Welcome @MrsGougeTheEyes!!!
-
Are you in the market for an EA/PA?!
-
Happy Birthday @TrixieFaux!!! Sounds like a great week so far!

I'm only getting a session in because I'll be in CA for work, otherwise I'm never in California! My husband is having a consult with Roxx while we are out there too.
-
@Eilin - your drunken clam is pretty awesome!!!
-
I figured it was your plan @Lance! ;) I've wanted a cat tattoo for years, this is pretty much my dream coming true.
-
It's all your fault @Lance...

beez - I don't plan on making a glycerite version at this time, if I get enough requests for a glycerite version I will consider researching it. The constituents that are extracted in alcohol and glycerine are very different, and can very well completely change how it affects the body. Not to mention, glycerites are not shelf-stable and often go bad under the best of circumstances. I'm going to look into vinegars though - they last a long time! Updated the page with the ingredients list. I had it on there at one point, but have been making a lot of updates and changes lately to the site. Sorry about that!

Yeah, I've relayed generalized info to Horitomo too - placement, size, and photos of my cat. I get my monmon cat in a month - wooooooot! It's going to be my first one-off tattoo as well!

I've decided to start with a plain-old herbal tincture to help with the tattoo process itself. It is for folks who are getting tattooed in especially painful spots, who are really nervous, getting their first tattoo, folks who tense up during tattooing (or get muscle twitching), that sort of thing. If you are interested in hearing more about it, ask here, PM me or check out my website: http://www.quaternityholistics.com/p/products.html Mods - if this post is not okay, feel free to take it down. Figured I'd post an update since it has been so long since everyone was kind enough to help me out!!!

Your overall look as a tattooed person

I guess I'm in trouble, I have been saying for years "nothing on my arms!" -
Woot @TrixieFaux!!!!!!! If there isn't a Monmon cat gallery yet, there should be!

I knew what he meant @Dbeatdano, couldn't help myself.

I love the dog dressed up as a duck with yellow rubber gloves. And the old ladies in pools with their clothes on. I can't even go there with the bad tattoos. That Nickelback one looks like it's a sharpie marker...

They aren't guns, they are machines.

What do guns have to do with tattoos and LST posts? I don't understand...

I've been using the non-stick gauze pads - tape them together then tape to leg, then loosely wrap an ace bandage/whatever onto leg - then sleep/walk/go to work/etc. That's worked really well for me this past 3 session go-round. I definitely plan on using this method in May (especially since I'll be on a plane 3 days later!) The non-stick gauze does not stick to the tattoo at all, and I think I had to apply Aquaphor once in the morning, and then once again that night after showering. It's a little more work what with the taping and all, but for me was worth it to not have clothing stick to my tattoo.

I've gotten tattooed around that time of the month - not fun!!! But, I did sleep really well that night, so it was a blessing in disguise. My upper thigh, I wore an old bikini bottoms with ties on the sides that we taped onto me and a dress - when the appointment was done I threw the bikini bottoms out. I could not think of a better way to go to my appointment because of the location. My other thigh I wore boxer style women's underwear and a super long skirt. I'm not super reserved/conservative in that way, despite evidence to the contrary (lots of grandma cardigans.) For healing - I found that wearing loose skirts/dresses to be the best, even though I tend to get tattooed in the colder months. I keep wavering between (another) bird or a dragon for my back - looking forward to your suggestions other than going braless for weeks on end. Not that going braless isn't fun and all, but at work it isn't always a good idea.

Totally @Pugilist! I still can't believe I have work from the artists I do (and upcoming.) It's pretty amazing. All you have to do is call! :)

Uncomfortable/disempowering tattoo experiences
Fala replied to Zillah's topic in General Tattoo Discussion
That's horrible! The small number of times I've been tattooed, it has been quite lovely and everyone has been very respectful. -
Thank you for that explanation @ironchef! I wasn't expecting you to explain, very much appreciate that you did.
