Not sure did you just rip it off? That's why you put it on for three days! Putting it on for 1 hour then ripping it of will definitely irritate your skin I would think.. Honestly I'm not sure ??? Good luck!
-
Cool !! My pleasure!
-
yes. No I'm just letting you know what my experiences are . It's working out great.. actually amazing so.. Keep it on for 3 days then you can go to lotion. I just want to give out the advice that I've used .. Not giving anything I read on google or something.
-
yup!! I'm no doctor or expert but sometimes common sense goes a long way.
-
No I wouldn't put lotion on it before you put the tegaderm.. The whole idea of this is to wet heal your tattoo so. I would follow the aquaphor idea. Then again it's up to you. I'm just letting you know how I did it and worked out amazing! Not sure why you would try something different.. it's up to you!! I wouldn't put anything on your tattoo before you put the tegaderm on. Like I said there is no sure way of doing this because I'm no expert but .. - - - Updated - - - think about it would you put lotion of a fresh cut or scrape?
-
I actually have it on right now. Just make sure you go home and take a shower and really clean the tattoo. Then rewrap it with aquaphor . Wait at least a couple hours after rewraping it or even the next morning then clean and dry. Then put on the tegaderm. It will be totally fine .. You will probably need about about 8 pieces depending how big your arm is. You can over lap them too but try to not overlap them too much. Also keep about an inch diameter around your tattoo. Check out my instagram Killercook76 i'll post a pic up today. Keep it on for 3 days.

tegaderm is the best wet healing method! Actually best any kind of healing I found so far! Heals smoother and no rough scaly scabs.
-
Yeah I bet!! Btw have you ever thought of getting work in NYC or Cali? Maybe I would do a half sleeve in that amount of time but.. When I got my ribs done I felt like crap ! Then again I'm a wuss!! Haha!! Seriously why a backpeice? Does this artist very come to the us? Anyways thanks for chatting with me ! I'm not trying to be a know it all just looking out!!
-
Haha!! Yeah I definitely give you props!! I have a friend who just finished a two day session (in a week) back piece... No joke!! Well I guess you can feel it out! I'm sure you will be dying in your hotel room and not doing much site seeing!! It will definitely be a gnarly experience!! I wish you all the luck and can't wait to see - - - Updated - - - Antibiotics .. I think more like some good rest!! I doubt it will help any.. You will not feel like eating but that is your best bet!! Eat ! Haha
-
Cool thanks for the info but tagaderm seems to sick on fine! Never tried Tatuderm.. Actually when I remove it after three days it seems not want to come off! Haha
-
Wow !! Not sure?? I put it on the day after but because you're having multiple session .. Not sure??? When you put it on taking it off really sucks if it's taking off too early.. - - - Updated - - - I think if you put it on the morning of your flight you will be fine!! Maybe if he finishes one section a day then put it on piece by piece?? - - - Updated - - -
-
No once you put it on keep it on for three days! You will see how comfortable it is! After the third day take it off and follow your normal Aftercare routine. You can get it wet no problem! - - - Updated - - - Btw get tagaderm its exactly the same product but cheaper! eBay is the cheapest way to buy it!
-
Exactly my experience!! Minus the blister. Tatuderm is the same stuff it's just slightly more expensive because of the name...
-
From first hand experience Tegaderm is probably your best bet if you are flying since you cannot clean the tattoo.. I agree!! The only thing is if you use tegaderm I would highly recommend that you ... After getting the tattoo go back to your hotel room and clean your tattoo then rewrap it until then next morning or at least 5 hours or so.. Clean again...then put on the tegaderm. The reason is if you put it on directly after you get tattooed a shit load of plasma and fluids will collect inside the tegaderm and it will leak out. I had this happen on a flight from cali .. no fun!!

Tegaderm/Saniderm/Tatuderm healing process
Killercook76 replied to Bigboy67's topic in Tattoo After Care
Yeah give a try!! Like I said get it from Ebay. It's a lot cheaper then the 3M website. I like the 4x4 size. Haha take your time!! I need to slow down a bit... -
Tegaderm/Saniderm/Tatuderm healing process
Killercook76 replied to Bigboy67's topic in Tattoo After Care
Haha Thanks @ironchef! Tegaderm was introduced to me by Tim Hendricks when I got tattooed by him on my ribs. I've tried all the different aftercare techniques ... After getting tattooed I wait until I get home and clean my tattoo. I rewrap until the next morning and then I put on the tegaderm. The reason is if you put it on right after you get tattooed there will be too much plasma and parts of the tegaderm will not stick. This may sound crazy but... keep it on for 3 days. The product is crazy because you can take a shower and get it wet also it's made from a breathable material. From my experience what happens is the tegaderm slows down your initial healing which may sound negative but... It's good because when you heal slower there are fewer chances of getting scabs. The peelings are a lot softer too. Reminds me of when you peel from a sunburn. So basically it heals your tattoo slower but heals smoother with no scabs. Negatives?? I really can't think of any.. Garver used it too on his last tattoo he got and he also said how awesome it was. The best place to buy it is on ebay !!!!! - - - Updated - - - I will post a pic on my instagram account @Killercook76 . I got my tattoo 11 days ago and it's almost healed... If you have any other questions please ask and I'll do my best to answer you from my experiences. -

Fixated On Planning My Next Tattoo. Join me and help =)
Killercook76 replied to ry4n's topic in Initiation
Hi Ryan I wouldn't go that route!! Usually it's from shoulder going down .. There are a few shops in Scal that are good!! I would definitely take the advice of an artist where ever you go. Eventually you are going to get a full sleeve I'm assuming?? I too was interested in Tebori but for me I don't see a point.. It's definitely cool and very interesting. It's just tebori I heard take a lot of time much more than a machine. Like almost double the time.. i think?? Ideas I usually look at different artist I respect for ideas. Of course there are artist like Mike Rubendall, Chris Odonnell, Horimoto, Henning, Garver etc. All the artist plus much more all have Instagram accounts. -
I understand what you are saying . The Cobra I have from Tim Hendricks is japanese/traditional.

[/img] Finally figured out how to post correctly.. Apologizes !! Tattoo by Chris Garver , Invisible NYC -
I usually get some of the things I like by that artist from past tattoos and tell him something like this. Or from other artist that have similar styles. I do leave a lot of it to the artist!

Thighs Thighs Thighs!!!
Killercook76 replied to TattooedMumma's topic in Tattoo Designs, Books and Flash
I had some of those twitchy moments too. Hahaha not exactly sure why? My other side I didn't have anything like that happen... As far as healing goes I did develop a decent size scab. I did fall out in about 2 weeks so no big deal. My recent session is healing a lot better! This time is used Tegaderm . For me Tegaderm heals your tattoo smoother and softer. The flaking and peeling isn't so dry and comes of in bigger pieces. -
Okay I guess I may have sounded that way. Anyone who knows me can tell you I'm not a dickhead haha.. Not that I really care if you do call me a dickhead but isn't that too being a dickhead?? LOL Anyway I've seen much more nasty comments by others like on the black light tattoo forums. Why aren't you policing them? I still stand by what I said coming on LST and asking for advice is good but most people don't follow any peoples advice . Call me what you want but it's true.
-
I totally understand not knowing what you want. I strongly recommend that you do not get a tattoo unless you are 100 percent ready and know what you want. Starting with smaller tattoos and "planning" to get bigger tattoos later is a bad idea in my opinion. The reason is if you get a smaller tattoo on say your upper arm and decide later on you want a bigger sleeve that first tattoo may be in the way and limit the things you can do later on... White ink I'll just say not a good idea ! I'm sure many people will tell you the same thing. Having said all this I think you writing on this forum is kinda a waste of time. The reason is most people don't follow advice from other people from these forums . Like white ink tattoos I'm sure you will do it anyway and in a year or so you will understand what we where talking about. I wish you luck !!! HAHA!
