  2. Art by Stace Forand from Waterstreet tattoos in Vancouver BC.
  3. "regret will be yours if you don't"? Nope, regret will be for the people you are tattoing. This thread is a demotivational poster in the making. Snarkiness aside, please take a step back and take into account the responsibility you have towards the people you are putting this stuff on. You should be spending your time learning to design and draw on paper, not on people's skin. If I can make some suggestions: Go through posts and pictures, take some time getting an idea of what a good tattoo is. Go out and get good tattoos. That's what this forum is for. It's certainly not a place to train or give people tips on how to get into the "business." Especially in one that is so overly saturated as it is. That's one way for you to get some perspective without messing up your acquaintances. Good luck dude.
  4. I find for myself that even though there are a ton of good artists where I live (Seattle area), I seek out shops in different states/provinces. Mostly due to a mild wanderlust and interest in meeting new people. As has been stated before, there is no replacement for time spent in a shop. Especially when you are newer to the experience.
  5. Welcome to the forums Tim! How is the weather in the land of cheese and pale women?
  6. I get it now. The cl in your name is short for Cthulhu.

A conversation I had with a co-worker. Girl: "I love the movies based on Stephen King books." Me: "oh yeah? What's your favorite?" Girl: "The Crow." Me:.........
  8. Mainly just to reiterate what @irezumi stated, people can be dicks, but dicks that should be evaluated on an individual basis. Doing otherwise will keep you from meeting some awesome people, and even if they didn't like pd, prove to them that cops can be good folks too.
  9. Cheers bud. Keep up the good work and continue pushing forward!
  10. Grats on the tattoo-supportive wife, and Welcome to the site!
  11. It's a shame how sarcasm and the internet don't always get along. If it's any consolation @heathenist, I think most everyone else knew what you were going for.
  12. Done by Charlie Cung in San Diego. Instagram

  15. You're eating at taco bell. All nutritional concerns go out the window.
  16. I'm so excited for everyone going to the convention this weekend. Take lots of pics! Balls to the employment news @real meta . @beez /waves hand: "you are perfectly healthy. You will not get sick."" On a side note. I emailed Adam Guy Hays about starting a back piece. Even though he's on vacation in Japan (getting tattooed by Horiyoshi 3, the dirty bugger), he has taken the time to message back :). He seems down, and apparently might even be doing guest spots in the pacific northwest next year, which would be rad to cut down on the traveling I would need to do. My wife also got an appointment with Whitney Fromm for some sunflowers and almond blossoms on her shoulder (in June 2014). This will be the misses' first/most detailed/involved tattoo. She has just a few simple, small pieces. She was rather amused at how excited for her I was.
  17. Well, I give you points for sticking to your guns, regardless of the good advice given. I hope you like it. If you decide to stick around here and get more, I hope you educate yourself on good tattoos, and are able to listen to other's advice.
  18. King Buzzo! My brother and I met him outside of Rockcandy in Seattle about 17 years ago or so, right before their show. The hair is even more majestic in person!
