Saline Tattoo Removal, anybody know about this?
cltattooing replied to cltattooing's topic in Tattoo Removal or Coverup
@David Flores Cheers, thanks! I guess it's apples and oranges. I'll look into it further. The one main upside to saline that sticks out to me is (probably) less trauma to the skin. If it proves effective, I'd like to try it out. We'll see, maybe I should just go into Dragonfly and talk to them. -
They're really beautiful, very clever thing to do with machines. I take it the frames are a bit heavier though?

"Does that still hurt?" .....what???? -
One of my clients directed me to this page yesterday: Tattoo removal, non-laser | Dragonfly Ink Looks interesting and I was wondering if anybody elsewhere has seen or heard of anything similar. The last 3 photos in the gallery are pretty impressive. Looks like a saline solution of some sort is tattooed over the original tattoo, which causes the scabbing to pull the ink out of the tattoo. They claim 50-75% fewer sessions than laser, which seems pretty awesome. If something like this is as effective as claimed, and is far less painful than laser removal, it seems like it could become a go-to for tattoo removal. Thoughts? Would love to hear from some laser techs on this one.

It's so beautiful!! 4th of July up there is also pretty amazing, you can see fireworks from at least 5 different surrounding areas, not to mention all of the fireworks people set off from their yards. -
Cool stuff, welcome! Viking bulldog is rad.

I live in an apartment building that has rooftop access. Sometimes it's really nice to go up there in the morning with a cup of coffee and just look at the bay. -

Sweeeeeeeet tattoos B) very Giger-esque, I definitely prefer biomech when it's flavored with a little more evil. Welcome to the fam! -
I think it depends on your level of satisfaction with the piece on a personal level and how you want your tattoos to look as they age. I think pointless perfectionism comes into play when people get a bunch of touch-ups to try and attain "the perfect tattoo," when no such thing exists.

Your overall look as a tattooed person
cltattooing replied to keepcalm's topic in General Tattoo Discussion
Man.. this is actually a really hard question for me to answer. I guess I have never really thought about how my tattoos are placed in terms of flattery, except for my arms because they are the only regularly visible part of my body except my face. I've only been able to get tattooed for 4 years and I was getting most of my first tattoos before and during my apprenticeship, so most of them were smaller pieces and practice pieces. Smaller pieces have gone on smaller areas of my body, so I started with tattooing my arms and legs. I plan on about 85-90% coverage, although who can really say how it'll actually be when I'm old, can't really picture myself not getting tattooed anymore. I think I mostly just put them where they'll fit. I don't have any BIG work yet, as the only really large areas of my body are back and torso. I'm saving my back for when my 10 years comes. I guess because of my age and the time of my life, big work wasn't an option for me as a starting point. So pretty much everything has been "pick and stick" style. That being said, I have kind of mapped out areas of my body per theme, if that makes sense. My left arm is strictly american traditional and japanese tattoos. My right arm is only red and black with esoteric themes. My right leg only has tattoos from my friends and myself. My left leg has two pieces on it that both need covering, so I plan to get an enormous black snake up the whole thing. I emailed Seth Wood about doing an Inari & fox piece on the right thigh, but we'll see where that goes. I have only entertained what I want to put on my torso, but I also kind of want to save some large space for when I'm older and have better taste. Which will probably be the case, regardless. -
Religious tattoos...on the non-religious
cltattooing replied to slayer9019's topic in General Tattoo Discussion
All religion is mythology in my opinion. I think pretty much everyone gets tattooed with themes they identify with, I don't think this is any different. Although, I think the only Judeo-Christian imagery I would ever get myself would be the Pharoah's Horses. Just because of how strikingly beautiful they are. -

perhaps casually leave episodes of tattoo age and the gypsy gentleman playing around the house, haha nah, I dunno, you can't force anyone to mine anything. It does boggle my mind that after such huge advancements in the last 10 years, that anyone could still not even appreciate them. To each their own!

Oh and that being said, be sure to follow the aftercare instructions given by your artist over any advice given online. Even if it is good advice, it's always a good idea to ask your artist when trying out new aftercare routines, simply because people apply tattoos differently and everyone heals differently.
